Hello everyone, this is Vaude Influence.
This month is the one year anniversary of where I made the FCW Sunshine series so for the next few weeks, I’m going to do something special for FCW Sunshine.
The format will be the same as usual as I get to give out my thoughts on the wrestler and the video of the wrestler being in it as well. However, this time, I have a special guest that will also give their thoughts on the wrestler and the video of the wrestler being in it as well.
This type of format will be going on for a couple of weeks. My special guest for this week’s FCW Sunshine is none other than Wrestlecorp User Cole.
Anyway, let’s get started shall we?
Topic/Subject: Today, I will be showing a promo that involves a woman who is one hundred ninety seven years old.
Wrestler: “The Maximum Woman” Maxine (Catrina/Liviana).
Background Information: Maxine is from Tampa, Florida. In 2009, she signed a developmental contract with WWE and was later assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).
She made her debut under the name Candy Girl in a diva handicap tag team match, where she teamed with Alicia Fox and Rosa Mendes to defeat Tiffany and Angela.
She later changed her name to Liviana and became a manager for Sweet Papi Sanchez. She competed in a 8 diva tournament to determine the inaugural FCW Divas Champion. She was eliminated by Naomi Night in the first round.
On August 31, 2010, on an episode of NXT, it was announced that she would be a part of the third season of NXT under the name Maxine, with Alicia Fox as her pro.
After she got eliminated from the NXT competition, she went back to FCW with the Maxine ring name. On July 19, 2011, on an episode of FCW TV, she was defeated by Miss Florida who later revealed as Naomi.
On April 7, 2011, she interfered in a match between Aksana and AJ Lee where she helped Aksana to defeat AJ for the FCW Divas Championship.
Throughout her FCW career, she became a valet for many wrestlers in FCW and was a former FCW General Manager.
On March 11, 2012, she was fired from the position of the acting general manager and was later replaced with Summer Rae. After she got fired from general manager role, she left FCW to return to NXT.
On August 16, 2011, she returned to NXT by attacking AJ, and as the girlfriend of Derrick Bateman to feud against AJ and Titus O’Neil, which she later that night accompanied Bateman to a match against O’Neil successfully after a distraction from her.
She then had a feud with AJ throughout August to October. On October 26, 2011, on an episode of NXT Redemption, after Bateman got the victory over Titus O’Neil, Bateman proposed to her, and after she slapped and kissed him, accepting his proposal.
On November 2, 2011, on an episode of NXT Redemption, she and Bateman became known as “BateMax”, and they competed in a 3 on 3 mixed tag team match with JTG in a losing effort to AJ, Titus O’Neil, Percy Watson.
She made her first pay-per-view appearance at Survivor Series as one of the lumberjill’s for a WWE Divas Championship match involving Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres.
On November 30, 2011, on an episode of NXT Redemption, she lost a match against her former NXT Season 3 pro Alicia Fox when she was accidentally distracted by Derrick Bateman and his mother, and ended up leaving the arena with Johnny Curtis told by JTG and Tamina.
On December 7, 2011, on an episode of NXT Redemption, she broke up with Derrick Bateman thinking he flirted with her mother. On December 28, 2011, on an episode of NXT Redemption, she would again turn on Derrick Bateman thinking he is trying to ruin her career, kissing Johnny Curtis and leaving with him.
The next week on January 4, 2012, on an episode of NXT Redemption, she and Johnny Curtis interrupted Derrick Bateman’s match with Darren Young, causing him to lose by announcing that she and Curtis are getting married in Las Vegas. On the 100th episode of NXT Redemption, she and Johnny Curtis’ wedding ceremony was interrupted by Derrick Bateman who was showing a security camera video clip in his locker room of Johnny Curtis stealing Bateman’s iPad and sending an e-mail to Theodore Long about getting rid of her and going to Smackdown, and was later reunited with Bateman after she slapped Curtis.
The following week on NXT Redemption, Curtis offered a truce with her and Derrick Bateman, but she gave Curtis a low blow.
She then began a feud with Kaitlyn on February 1, 2012, on an episode of NXT Redemption, who were both seen backstage with her accusing Kaitlyn of liking Derrick Bateman.
After her feud with Kaitlyn, William Regal was appointed as NXT’s match coordinator, she would attempt to get close to him in the hopes that he would help her get off NXT.
On March 21, 2012, on an episode of NXT Redemption, she and Johnny Curtis knocked out Matt Striker with chloroform so that she could join Regal on commentary with her giving Regal several massages on commentary. However, Striker was then kidnapped (kayfabe) by unknown people, later revealed to be Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks, who intended to blackmail her and Curtis into using her charms to get Regal to leave them alone.
For being involved with Matt Striker’s kidnapping, on March 18, 2012, after she defeated Kaitlyn in singles competition, she and Johnny Curtis were forced by William Regal to sign a contract to permanently be each other’s manager or be fired, and was afterwards handcuffed together leaving the announce table.
On May 7, 2012, she made her first appearance on Raw teaming with Natalya in a losing effort against Layla and Kelly Kelly.
She then started a new character known as the “New” Maxine as she started taking on a good/nice personality before competed in singles competition against Tamina Snuka on May 9, 2012, on an episode of NXT Redemption coming out victorious, and was later released from being handcuffed with Johnny Curtis by Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks.
On June 28, 2012, it was reported that she had quit WWE citing her frustration with the company; issues included not being provided a guaranteed contract. The next day, she confirmed that she had asked for and received her release from WWE to pursue other options, but commented that she was not going to join another wrestling company.
On May 10, 2014, she returned to wrestling when she competed in TNA’s One Night Only Knockouts Knockdown pay-per-view event, competing under her real name in an losing effort to Taryn Terrell.
In September 2014, it was announced she would be appearing on the new wrestling TV show Lucha Underground under the name Catrina, working as the valet of Mil Muertes.
She still competes in Lucha Underground to this day as the valet of Mil Muertes and Siniestro de la Muerte.
My Thoughts: Maxine is a very talented woman. Even though she’s not very good in the ring, she makes it up with her great look, her great presence in and outside of the ring, her excellent character, and her great charisma. Death!
Cole’s Thoughts: She is not the best worker, but she has a great look, she has charisma, and she can talk. She is also a good actress. I think good acting is kind of a lost art in wrestling right now.
Video: This video contains a promo segment with Maxine, Norman Smiley, and the FCW locker room on December 18, 2011.
Cole’s Thoughts: Good promo and Maxine did her job well here. She fits that role so well that I don’t see why they didn’t use her like this on the main roster. I heard she was suppose to be in Aksana’s spot with Teddy Long in 2012, she would have fit in that position a lot better than Aksana to be honest.
My Thoughts: This was a very good promo from Maxine here. Maxine during this time was the general manager of FCW and she was one evil woman if I say so myself.
She gathered everyone from the FCW locker room to meet her in the ring for an announcement. She made the announcement that both Richie Steamboat and Husky Harris have been suspended for thirty days for their actions which got a lot of heat from the crowd.
She then asked the FCW locker room if anyone had a problem with it in which a few of the FCW roster had a problem with it along with a few people in the crowd which was hiliarious as Maxine didn’t noticed it. She then made the annoucement on that show that Aksana Vs. Raquel Diaz for the Queen of FCW and Leo Kruger Vs. Seth Rollins for the Florida Heavyweight Championship will happen later on that show in which the crowd loves.
She then ended it by telling the FCW locker room to follow her rules this time so this type of situation doesn’t happened again which ends the segment.
Like I said before, Maxine’s greatest strengths are within the character and charisma department as she showcased that in this promo.
I like how she kind of controlled the crowd into hating and liking what she said whether it’s intentional or not. It’s a shame that WWE didn’t really use Maxine in the right way as she could have been a great character, valet, or authority figure for WWE.
Luckily, she’s doing that in Lucha Underground right now and have succeeded tremendously on doing so. Death!
After watching the video, give me your thoughts on the video or the wrestler herself. Thank you.
