205 Live on May 15, 2018, was a great show. 205 Live is a show where the cruiserweights take center stage as they will risk their bodies to entertain us wrestling fans. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a video package as Drake Maverick hypes up Tyler Bate Vs. Kenny Williams Vs. Kalisto Vs. TJP and Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali & “Flash” Morgan Webster Vs. Drew Gulak, Joseph Conners & James Drake later on the show as it will be the cruiserweight division and the WWE UK division in one night. This is good as it’s hyping up all of the matches on the show which should be interesting to see and the WWE UK guys are on this show! However, we’ll get to that in just a bit. Well produced video package here.

Tyler Bate Vs. Kenny Williams Vs. Kalisto Vs. TJP was great. Tyler Bate has made his return to 205 Live! Mark out moment! With the return of the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament next month, it’s great to see Tyler Bate on this show. Also, Kenny Williams has made an appearance on 205 Live! Mark out moment! For those of you who don’t know, Kenny Williams is well known for his work in ICW and PROGRESS so seeing him here is great. I wonder if this means we’ll see Kenny Williams in the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament next month. We’ll have to wait and see.

As Tyler Bate made his entrance to the ring, we see a video promo from him as he said that the last time he was in the ring with TJP, he had to cheat to beat him. However, he plans to beat TJP and gets his revenge on him in this match. I like how Tyler Bate didn’t forget how TJP beat him in the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament a few months back. Nice continuity there.

As Kenny Williams made his entrance to the ring, we see a video promo from him as he talked about how he’s going to be in the ring against three former champions and he considered himself lucky. He then talked about how he wants to be the best in the world and he will make sure that he makes Scotland proud. Nice to see that Kenny Williams got some promo time here so I expect that means he got signed with WWE for their WWE UK division, but only time will tell.

Everyone did great in this match as everyone got a chance to shine. The double powerbomb from TJP on Tyler Bate and Kenny Williams where they did a double superplex on Kalisto was a cool spot to see. Kalisto hit a beautiful somersault dive onto everyone on the outside. Kenny Williams hit some nice variations of the back elbows onto everyone in the match. TJP applied a submission to everyone at the same time which was cool to see. Tyler Bate hit a devastating rebound lariat on TJP. Great work by all four men here.

The ending of the match came when Tyler Bate hit TJP with the Tyler Driver ’97 (Sitout double underhook powerbomb) for the pin and win. A good win for Tyler Bate as he managed to get redemption on TJP.

Great match and I can’t wait to see more of the WWE UK guys next month for the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament.

We then see a video package about Buddy Murphy and it was good. Buddy Murphy talked about how he’s been in WWE for five years and he did have some success in the company such as becoming NXT Tag Team Champion, but besides that, he hasn’t won anything. He then said that he had to work hard to get where he is today and he plans to beat Cedric Alexander for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship to prove himself as The Juggernaut of the cruiserweight division. He will get his WWE Cruiserweight Championship match against Cedric Alexander in two weeks.

Buddy Murphy is looking to become the next WWE Cruiserweight Champion and he will do whatever it takes to do it. I’m looking forward to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship match between Cedric Alexander and Buddy Murphy in two weeks. Well produced video package here.

We then get an announcement that next week, it will be Akira Tozawa Vs. Hideo Itami. Two former tag team partners will go head-to-head next week. Looking forward to the match next week.

The backstage segment between Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, and “Flash” Morgan Webster was good. Cedric Alexander was warming up backstage until Mustafa Ali showed up and asked Cedric Alexander on how he’s feeling as Cedric Alexander responded by saying he’s all right and asked him if he’s okay. Mustafa Ali told Cedric Alexander that he’s fine and ready. Cedric Alexander then told Mustafa Ali that they should get ready for their six-man tag team match coming up next.

As Cedric Alexander was about to continue, Mustafa Ali pointed to “Flash” Morgan Webster who appeared and introduced himself to the two of them and welcoming them to the United Kingdom. He then told Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali that he will be making a flash in the six-man tag team match as he left. Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali then said to each other that they like “Flash” Morgan Webster before discussing their strategy.

Oh my god, “Flash” Morgan Webster is actually here! However, I’ll save that once we get to the match itself. Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, and “Flash” Morgan Webster as a trio for one night sounds great to me. Looking forward to the six-man tag team match coming up next. Good backstage segment here.

Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali & “Flash” Morgan Webster Vs. Drew Gulak, Joseph Conners & James Drake was an excellent six-man tag team match. Mark out moment! Drake Maverick was on commentary for this match. Oh my god, “Flash” Morgan Webster has made an appearance on 205 Live! Mark out moment! For those of you who don’t know, “Flash” Morgan Webster is well known for his work in PROGRESS and RPW so seeing him here is great. Just like with Kenny Williams, I wonder if we’ll see “Flash” Morgan Webster in the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament next month. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

After Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali & “Flash” Morgan Webster made their entrance to the ring, we see a backstage interview with Drew Gulak, Joseph Conners & James Drake by Dasha Fuentes and it was good. James Drake talked about how he and Joseph Conners teamed up before so they know how to work together as a team. Joseph Conners said that they will make sure to hurt their opponents in their match. Drew Gulak then said that it doesn’t matter if they haven’t teamed up before because they are the best technical wrestlers in wrestling today and they will make sure to display that in their match as they left.

Oh my god, Joseph Conners and James Drake have made their return to 205 Live! Mark out moment for both! Great to see these two guys again as I expect to see them again in the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament, but we’ll have to wait and see. I like this trio of Drew Gulak, Joseph Conners, and James Drake here. I’m pretty sure they’ll work well together. Good backstage interview here.

Drew Gulak, Joseph Conners, and James Drake did excellent in this match as they were trying to ground their opponents in this match. The slingshot reverse STO from Joseph Conners on Mustafa Ali was well executed. The back elbow smash from James Drake on Cedric Alexander looked devastating. The way Drew Gulak countered Cedric Alexander’s back handspring roundhouse kick into an ankle lock was well countered. Excellent work by Drew Gulak, Joseph Conners, and James Drake here.

Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, and “Flash” Morgan Webster did excellent in this match as well as they tried to make a statement. Cedric Alexander hit a beautiful dropkick on Joseph Conners. Mustafa Ali hit a cool Frankensteiner on Joseph Conners who landed on James Drake. Mustafa Ali’s back springboard Tornado DDT on Drew Gulak looked devastating. Excellent work by Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, and “Flash” Morgan Webster here.

The ending of the match came when Mustafa Ali hit Drew Gulak with 054 (Inverted 450 splash) for the pin and win for his team. A good win for the trio as they’re looking strong going forward.

Excellent six-man tag team match and I can’t wait to see more of the WWE UK guys next month for the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament.

Overall, a great show for the seventy-seventh episode of 205 Live. It’s great to see the cruiserweights with more focus and attention here and it’s only going to get better from here. Looking forward to it.
