205 Live on October 10, 2018, was a great show. 205 Live is a show where the cruiserweights take center stage as they will risk their bodies to entertain us wrestling fans. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a video package highlighting Cedric Alexander Vs. Buddy Murphy for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at Super Show-Down. This is good as it showed what happened at Super Show-Down which was an excellent match and if you haven’t already, go out and watch it as you won’t be disappointed. Well produced video package here.

Lince Dorado Vs. Lio Rush was a great match for what it was. Lio Rush made his entrance to the ring as he grabbed a mic and said that it’s time for the “Man of the Hour” as he looks to make someone famous by issuing an open challenge for anyone who wants to face him as Lince Dorado came out the accept the challenge. An interesting decision from Lince Dorado to challenge Lio Rush here. Anyway, let’s talk about the match itself.

Lio Rush did great in this match as he tried to continue his streak in the cruiserweight division. His handspring kick followed by a suicide dive from Lio Rush through the bottom rope was a great combination. His twisting inverted double underhook facebuster on Lince Dorado was well executed. Lince Dorado did great in this match as well as he plans to get a win for Lucha House Party. His diving crossbody on Lio Rush was well executed. His handspring stunner followed by a corkscrew plancha on Lio Rush to the outside was a great combination. Great work by both men here.

The ending of the match came when Lince Dorado was about to hit Lio Rush with a shooting star press, but Maria Kanellis came out which led to Mike Kanellis coming out and throwing Lince Dorado off the top rope to cause a disqualification! Holy ship! Mike & Maria Kanellis have appeared on 205 Live! Mark out moment for both! Didn’t see them coming at all. I don’t know if Mike and Maria Kanellis are a part of 205 Live now, but it’s great to see them back in general as we haven’t seen for a long time.

After the match, Mike Kanellis continued to beat down Lince Dorado as he hit Lince Dorado with a rolling cutter as he and Maria Kanellis stood tall over Lince Dorado.

I have no idea why Mike and Maria Kanellis are here, but I’m glad to see them back as they have been very underutilized on the main roster and them being in 205 Live might help them a lot. Only time will tell.

Great match and great post-match as I’m interested to see what Mike and Maria Kanellis have in store in 205 Live.

The video promo from Buddy Murphy was good. Buddy Murphy talked about how he’s proved at Super Show-Down on why he is unstoppable as he became the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. He said he won’t be at 205 Live as he’s in Melbourne, Australia, because he does what he wants as he’s the champion and he’ll come back when he feels like it.

Buddy Murphy has a right to do what he wants as he is the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Buddy Murphy as WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Good video promo here.

The backstage segment between Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali was good. Cedric Alexander was feeling down backstage until Mustafa Ali came in and asked Cedric Alexander on how he’s doing as Cedric Alexander told Mustafa Ali that he’s doing fine as Cedric Alexander asked Mustafa Ali the same thing as Mustafa Ali that he’s doing well as well. He then told Cedric Alexander that he got a match with Hideo Itami in two weeks as it will be Falls Count Anywhere match! Mark out moment! This will be the first-ever Falls Count Anywhere in 205 Live and it’s going to be awesome as the feud will end between Mustafa Ali and Hideo Itami which I can’t wait to see.

Cedric Alexander then told Mustafa Ali that Hideo Itami has his hands full as Mustafa Ali said that he has hands full too. He then told Cedric Alexander that he against Tony Nese is not such a good idea especially after losing the WWE Cruiserweight Championship to Buddy Murphy. Cedric Alexander then told Mustafa Ali that he’s fine as he looks to beat Tony Nese and then go back after Buddy Murphy to get back his WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Both men did a fist bump as Cedric Alexander left.

Despite Cedric Alexander losing at Super Show-Down, Cedric Alexander is looking to get back on track and tried to get back his WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Let’s see how he does against Tony Nese coming up next. Good backstage segment here.

We then get a recap of what happened last week when Drew Gulak and Gentleman Jack Gallagher turned on The Brian Kendrick. This is good as it shows what happened last week and it ties into the next segment which I will talk about next.

The backstage promo from Drew Gulak and Gentleman Jack Gallagher was good. Drew Gulak talked about what he and Gentleman Jack Gallagher did to The Brian Kendrick last week was something they shouldn’t have done, but it was necessary. Gentleman Jack Gallagher then said that The Brian Kendrick has lost his edge and became sentimental.

Drew Gulak then said that he can’t have any weak links which are why he and Gentleman Jack Gallagher did what they did last week. Drew Gulak then said that he will face Akira Tozawa next week as he continues to make a better 205 Live.

It looks like Drew Gulak and Gentleman Jack Gallagher are moving on from The Brian Kendrick and they’re moving on to Akira Tozawa. I expect The Brian Kendrick to be involved with next week’s match between Akira Tozawa and Drew Gulak, but we’ll see. Good backstage promo here.

We then get an announcement that next week, it will be Akira Tozawa Vs. Drew Gulak. Like I said earlier, I expect The Brian Kendrick to interfere in this match in some capacity, but only time will tell.

Cedric Alexander Vs. Tony Nese was an excellent match. Mark out moment! This was an excellent match where Cedric Alexander looks to get back on track by going against Tony Nese.

Cedric Alexander did excellent in this match as he tried to get back on track after losing the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. His somersault dive on Tony Nese to the outside was beautifully executed. The springboard clothesline on Tony Nese was well executed. The Michinoku Driver on Tony Nese looked devastating. The handspring roundhouse kick on Tony Nese looked like Tony Nese was out cold. Excellent work by Cedric Alexander here.

Tony Nese did excellent match as well as he tried to prove Cedric Alexander is a fluke. His running back elbow on Cedric Alexander looked devastating. His forearm smash on Cedric Alexander looked like it knocked Cedric Alexander out. Excellent work by Tony Nese here.

The ending of the match came when Tony Nese hit Cedric Alexander with a 450 splash for the pin and win. A huge win for Tony Nese as he got a victory over the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion. As for Cedric Alexander, he lost once again. We’ll see if Cedric Alexander can find himself again after losing the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

Excellent match and I’m interested in what Cedric Alexander will do after losing the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

Overall, a great show for the ninety-eighth episode of 205 Live. It’s great to see the cruiserweights with more focus and attention here and it’s only going to get better from here. Looking forward to it.
