NXT on October 31, 2018, was a great show that is building up NXT War Games II in two weeks. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a video package highlighting who attacked Aleister Black. This is good as it shows what happened with Aleister Black and who attacked him where we finally got our answer last week. Well produced video package here.

Nikki Cross Vs. Mercedes Martinez was a great women’s match. Mercedes Martinez has made another appearance on NXT! Mark out moment! She competed in last year’s and this year’s Mae Young Classic as well as compete in NXT a few times so great to see her here as she did great against Nikki Cross.

Mercedes Martinez did great in this match as she tried to get a win over Nikki Cross. The way she swept Nikki Cross off the middle rope looked painful as heck. Nikki Cross did great in this match as she showed why she is the twisted sister in NXT. Her diving crossbody on Mercedes Martinez was well executed. Great work by both women here.

The ending of the match came when Nikki Cross hit Mercedes Martinez with The Purge (Swinging fisherman’s neckbreaker) for the pin and win. A good win for Nikki Cross as she plans to get back on top of the NXT Women’s division.

After the match, Nikki Cross told Mercedes Martinez that it was fun playing with her as Mercedes Martinez slowly nodded her head as she exited the ring. Candice LeRae then came out and entered the ring and told Nikki Cross that it’s not funny that she’s laughing about Johnny Gargano as Nikki Cross continued to laugh her while heading to the back.

As Nikki Cross was heading to the back, Aleister Black came out as Nikki Cross backed off as Aleister Black entered the ring and asked Candice LeRae where Johnny Gargano is as Candice LeRae said that he’s not here. Aleister Black then told Candice LeRae that he will make Johnny Gargano gone in NXT as he left the ring.

Well, Aleister Black is furious for Johnny Gargano attacking him and he wants revenge. We’ll see if Johnny Gargano will show his face again to confront Aleister Black.

Great women’s match and good post-match as I’m intrigued to see what’s next in this feud between Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano in NXT.

We then get a recap of what happened last month when The Mighty defeated Street Profits as it will be Street Profits Vs. The Mighty in a rematch next. Well, I bet Street Profits are looking to get revenge on The Mighty so we’ll see if they can do it.

Street Profits Vs. The Mighty was a great tag team match. This was a rematch from last month’s match and it was great.

The Mighty did great in this match as they tried to humiliate Street Profits once again. The superplex from Shane Thorne on Montez Ford while Nick Miller hit a powerbomb on Shane Thorne was interesting to see, but effective. Street Profits did great in this match too as they tried to get revenge on The Mighty for stealing their belongings. The assisted somersault dive from Montez Ford where Angelo Dawkins pulled the ropes down on The Mighty was beautifully executed. Great work by both teams here.

The ending of the match came when Montez Ford hit a springboard frog splash on Shane Thorne for the pin and win. A good win for Street Profits as they got revenge on The Mighty and got their belongings back.

Great tag team match and I’m interested to see what’s next for Street Profits and The Mighty in NXT as I think this feud between them is over.

The backstage segment with William Regal and Aleister Black by Cathy Kelley was good. William Regal talked about how he has an announcement to make as it will be Tommaso Ciampa Vs. Velveteen Dream at NXT War Games II for the NXT Championship.

As William Regal was about to continue, Aleister Black came in and asked William Regal where Johnny Gargano is as William Regal told him that Johnny Gargano isn’t here, but at NXT War Games II, it will be Aleister Black Vs. Johnny Gargano. Aleister Black then told William Regal that Johnny Gargano will fade to black.

Well, we got ourselves two huge matches for NXT War Games II and those matches sound great to me. Looking forward to them. Good backstage segment here.

We then get a vignette of Matt Riddle as he will make his NXT in-ring debut next. I can’t wait. Bro!

Just a reminder that Voices by Motionless In White is a theme for NXT War Games II and it’s a good song. NXT War Games II is in two weeks and it should be a great show. Looking forward to it.

We then get an announcement that at NXT War Games II, it will be Aleister Black Vs. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa Vs. Velveteen Dream for the NXT Championship. As I said earlier, sounds like great matches to me and I can’t wait to see them.

The segment with Lars Sullivan outside of Full Sail University was great. Lars Sullivan was outside of Full Sail University throwing items around as he said he should be in the NXT Championship match at NXT War Games II and if Velveteen Dream is in his way, he will take him out.

Man, Lars Sullivan isn’t happy and is looking to destroy Velveteen Dream to get it. We’ll see what Lars Sullivan will do. Great segment here.

Matt Riddle Vs. Luke Menzies was a good match. Matt Riddle has made his NXT debut! Mark out moment! I have been waiting for Matt Riddle to debut on NXT and I’m glad to see him here as he was being himself as The King of Bros.

Luke Menzies did well in this match as he tried to ruin the debut of Matt Riddle. His overhead belly-to-belly suplex on Matt Riddle was welle executed. Matt Riddle did well in this match too as he tried to make a name for himself on NXT debut. His kicks on Luke Menzies were vicious. Good work by both men here.

The ending of the match came when Matt Riddle locked Luke Menzies with the Bromission (Twister) to make him submit for the win. A good win for Matt Riddle on NXT debut. Bro!

Good match and I can’t wait to see more of Matt Riddle in NXT.

We then get a recap of what happened at WWE Evolution when Shayna Baszler defeated Kairi Sane to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. This is good as it shows what happened at WWE Evolution and it ties into the next segment which I will talk about next.

The backstage segment between Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane after their match at WWE Evolution was good. Shayna Baszler talked about how Kairi Sane didn’t beat her at NXT Brooklyn IV as she lost and she proved it. As Shayna Baszler was about to continue, Kairi Sane came out and called out Shayna Baszler as Shayna Baszler is not the NXT Women’s Champion anymore as she left.

Kairi Sane is looking to get her rematch against Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship and I won’t be surprised if it happens at NXT War Games II, but only time will tell. Good backstage segment here.

Just a reminder that Wonderful Life by Bring On The Horizon is a theme for NXT War Games II and it’s a good song. NXT War Games II is in two weeks and it should be a great show. Looking forward to it.

We then get a vignette of Lacey Evans and it was good as she will be in action next week. Nice to see NXT hyping up Lacey Evans as she will be action next week where I’m looking forward to it.

We then get an announcement that next week, it will be Velveteen Dream Vs. Lars Sullivan. Well, Lars Sullivan wants his NXT Championship match and if he can beat Velveteen Dream, he might get it. We’ll see next week.

Manliest Governors Vs. Humberto Carrillo & Raul Mendoza was a great tag team match. This was a great tag team match that showcased both teams pretty well.

Humberto Carrillo & Raul Mendoza did great in this match as they tried to make a name for themselves in the NXT Tag Team division. The double suicide dives to the outside on Manliest Governors were beautifully executed. The hip toss from Danny Burch to the corner on Raul Mendoza followed by the running European Uppercut from Oney Lorcan on Humberto Carrillo looked painful as heck. Great work by both teams here.

The ending of the match came when Manliest Governors hit Raul Mendoza with an assisted lifting DDT for the pin and win. Another win for Manliest Governors as they look to rise back up in the NXT Tag Team division. One Two! One Two!

Great tag team match and I’m interested to see what’s next for Manliest Governors in NXT.

The segment between Undisputed Era, War Raiders, Ricochet, Pete Dunne, and William Regal was excellent. Mark out moment! Undisputed Era was backstage as Roderick Strong said that they’re at the top of the world. Kyle O’Reilly then asked Bobby Fish if he’s ready as Bobby Fish replied by saying that he is ready. Adam Cole then said that Undisputed Era is back in full force.

Adam Cole was about to continue his promo, but was attacked by behind from War Raiders as they took down Undisputed Era. They then fought outside of Full Sail University as War Raiders tossed Adam Cole face-first on a transport truck. War Raiders then threw Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly on patio tables.

Roderick Strong then hit War Raiders with a trash can as Adam Cole joined in as well as the rest of Undisputed Era. Ricochet then came in and attacked Undisputed Era while going after Adam Cole.

Bobby Fish then tried to get back in the arena, but Hanson grabbed Bobby Fish and slammed him into the garage door as he slammed Kyle O’Reilly to the garage door as well.

Eventually, Undisputed Era, War Raiders, and Ricochet were in the arena as Rowe tossed Roderick Strong over the barricade. They all brawled inside the ring as Bobby Fish grabbed a chair and hit Hanson with it as Rowe hit a high knee strike on Rowe while Adam Cole hit a superkick on Ricochet as they stood tall over Ricochet and War Raiders.

Pete Dunne then came out as he hit Adam Cole with a chair and took out Kyle O’Reilly with a chair as well as Ricochet and War Raiders took advantage over Undisputed Era as Undisputed Era retreated up the ramp.

William Regal then came out and announced that the fight stops now because at NXT War Games II, they can destroy each other as it will be Ricochet, Pete Dunne & War Raiders Vs. Undisputed Era in War Games.

Dang, what an awesome way to end the show as we got ourselves War Games at NXT War Games II between these eight men which should be awesome and I’m looking forward to it.

Excellent segment and I can’t wait to see Ricochet, Pete Dunne & War Raiders Vs. Undisputed Era in War Games at NXT War Games II.

Overall, a great show that is building up NXT War Games II in two weeks. Next week, we will have Lacey Evans in action and Velveteen Dream Vs. Lars Sullivan which should be interesting to see. Looking forward to it. NXT! NXT! NXT!
