Ultima Lucha Cuatro on October 31, 2018, was a great show that had excellent matches and great moments throughout the show as the fourth season of Lucha Underground is coming to an end. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a recap of what happened between Reptile Tribe, Ivelisse, XO Lishus, Joey Ryan, Sammy Guevara, Rabbit Tribe, Killshot, and Son of Havoc earlier in the season of Lucha Underground Season 2, 3, and 4. This is a good way to remind people about what happened during that time in case they missed it or forgot about it. Well done and well produced.

The video segment between Captain Vasquez and Aerostar was good. Captain Vasquez was in her office as she was looking through documents until Aerostar came in as he told Captain Vasquez that she have live long enough and that her father and Catrina are already in the Cosmos so it’s time for her to join them. He then showed half of the amulet that Catrina had as the other half of the amulet that Captain Vasquez possessed merged with the other half of the amulet as Captain Vasquez slowly faded away.

Well, rest in peace, Captain Vasquez. You lived a long life. I have a feeling that if Lucha Underground has a fifth season, Aerostar will be a huge part of it due to this segment here, but only time will tell. Good video segment here.

Reptile Tribe Vs. Ivelisse, XO Lishus & Sammy Guevara Vs. Rabbit Tribe in an elimination match for the Lucha Underground Trios Championships was great. This was a great trios match where all three teams had a chance to shine. I’ll be talking about the matches into parts so let’s get to it!

The match when all three trios were in the ring was great as it set the bar for the match throughout its entirety. There was an insane spot where Sammy Guevara hit a moonsault side slam on Kobra Moon from the top of the stage to the floor on everyone! Mark out moment! That spot was awesome. This is why Sammy Guevara is a future star in Lucha Underground. Great work by all three teams here.

The first elimination came when Paul London had Sammy Guevara in an electric chair position, but El Bunny accidentally tripped Paul London which led to Sammy Guevara rolling up Paul London for the pin and to eliminate Rabbit Tribe from the match. Well, Rabbit Tribe did what they could here as the MVP of this match so far in Sammy Guevara made a name for himself so good for him. However, after Rabbit Tribe got eliminated, White Rabbit applied the Mandible Claw on Sammy Guevara as Sammy Guevara was bleeding from his mouth as he spits at White Rabbit before Rabbit Tribe. Dang, don’t know if Sammy Guevara will be able to compete after that, but we’ll see.

Reptile Tribe Vs. Ivelisse, XO Lishus & Sammy Guevara was great as they continued the momentum where they left off. The stunner from XO Lishus on Jeremiah Snake was well executed and the sunset-flip powerbomb on Jeremiah Snake by Ivelisse looked devastating. Great work by both trios here.

The ending of the match came when Jeremiah Snake hit the double underhook shouldbreaker on XO Lishus followed by a hurricanrana driver from Kobra Moon and finishing him off with a cross armbar by Daga with a soccer kick by Jeremiah Snake to make XO Lishus submit for the win. A good win for Reptile Tribe as they’re still Lucha Underground Trios Champions.

Great trios match and I’m intrigued on which trio will face Reptile Tribe in Season 5 of Lucha Underground if there is one.

Taya Vs. Ricky Mundo was a good match. This was a good match as Taya was out for revenge on Ricky Mundo for Ricky Mundo ruining Taya’s wedding.

Ricky Mundo did well in this match as he tried to make Taya’s life a nightmare. His superkick on Taya looked devastating. Taya did well in this match too as she tried to get revenge on Ricky Mundo for ruining her wedding. The spear on Ricky Mundo looked devastating. The German suplex on Ricky Mundo was well executed. The Saito suplexes on Ricky Mundo were well executed. Good work by both competitors here.

The ending of the match came when Taya locked in the STF on Ricky Mundo to make him submit for the win. A good win for Taya as she got her revenge on Ricky Mundo.

After the match, Taya yelled at Ricky Mundo for ruining her life as she hit a chokeslam on Ricky Mundo through a table on the outside as she took Ricky Mundo’s doll with her and left.

Revenge was sweet for Taya. I wonder what Taya will do with Ricky Mundo’s doll. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Good match and good post-match as I’m interested to see what Taya and Ricky Mundo will do in Season 5 if there’s a season five of Lucha Underground.

Son of Havoc Vs. Killshot in a Mask Vs. Mask match was excellent. Mark out moment! These two men have issues with each other for months and now they finally face each other with something important on the line and it was excellent.

Killshot did excellent in this match as he tried to make sure that Son of Havoc loses his mask. His diving double foot stomp on Son of Havoc looked devastating. His superplex on Son of Havoc on the stretcher looked like it broke Son of Havoc’s back there for a moment.

Son of Havoc did excellent in this match too as he tried to make sure that Killshot loses his mask for turning on him. His avalanche Death Valley Driver on Killshot looked devastating. The piledriver on the stretcher on Killshot looked like it broke Killshot’s neck.

There were several points in this match where I thought it was over as it could go either way between both men. There was a spot where Son of Havoc hit a diving splash on Killshot from the top of the stage to the floor through a table! Mark out moment! That’s insane and despite that, Killshot managed to find a way to kick out of that which was impressive.

There was another spot where Son of Havoc hit the shooting star press on Killshot, but Killshot managed to kick out. Wow, didn’t expect Killshot to kick out there. That was impressive. There was another spot where Killshot hit the Storm Cradle Driver on Son of Havoc, but Son of Havoc managed to kick out of that. Dang, what heart from Son of Havoc there. Excellent work by both men here.

The ending of the match came when Son of Havoc hit the shooting star press on Killshot was on the stretcher for the pin and win. A great win for Son of Havoc as he gets to keep his mask while Killshot has to unmask himself.

After the match, Killshot grabbed a mic and said that his real name is Lieutenant Jermaine Strickland and the reason he was wearing a mask for years was to hide the fact that he left his brothers for dead. He then unmasked himself and handed his mask to Son of Havoc as Killshot left the ring and went to the back.

Man, so Killshot was wearing a mask because he was trying to hide the fact that he left his brothers for dead. Dang. Well, the way he went out, it looks like it may be the end of Killshot in Lucha Underground and if that’s the case, I just want to say, thank you Killshot!

Excellent match and thank you Killshot for your time in Lucha Underground!

The backstage segment between Killshot and Dante Fox was great. Killshot was leaving the temple as Dante Fox came out with a military uniform as he told him that it was great to see his face again. Killshot said that this will be the last time he will see this face as he was wondering where he has been. Dante Fox said that he was on a mission that had to be dealt with. Killshot then told Dante Fox that he requested relieve of duty as Dante Fox granted it as they salute each other before Killshot walked away and left the temple.

Well, I guess that was it for Killshot as this is probably the last time we’re going to see him in Lucha Underground. At least he went out with a bang and I will surely miss him. Thank you Killshot! Great video segment to end the show.

Overall, a great show that had excellent matches and great moments throughout the whole show. Now, comparing Ultima Lucha Cuatro with Ultima Lucha, Ultima Lucha Dos, and Ultima Lucha Tres will come once Ultima Lucha Cuatro is done. Till then, we should enjoy Ultima Lucha Cuatro for the time being. Next week, the final part of Ultima Lucha Cuatro will begin and I can’t wait! It should be great. If you haven’t already, please check out Lucha Underground. It’s a great alternative to mainstream wrestling and you won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to next week’s show. Lucha! Lucha! Lucha! Lucha!
