WWE NXT live event results

NXT on July 6, 2016 was a great show that is building up characters as well as possibly building new feuds and storylines in the near future. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a video package hyping up The Revival Vs. American Alpha in a 2 Out of 3 Falls match for the NXT Tag Team Championships later on the show. This is good as it helps build up the main event later on the show which should be excellent. Good video package here.

Bayley Vs. Alexa Bliss was a great women’s match. Both of these women went out there and delivered a great match that felt like they were fighting for a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship.

Alexa Bliss in particular was incredible in this match as this is probably the best performace that Alexa Bliss had in NXT. The viciousness and aggressiveness that Alexa Bliss brought to Bayley was insane. I love the forearm smash that Alexa Bliss did to Bayley which looked painful as heck. I also love the the double knee drop followed by the Insult to Injury (Formerly known as Glitz Flip) by Alexa Bliss onto Bayley which was awesome as well. Alexa Bliss brang her A game here and I love it.

Bayley was great in this match as well taking a lot ot punishment from Alexa Bliss, but kept fighting back being that ultimate underdog babyface.

In the end, Bayley gets the win on Alexa Bliss by pinning her after the Belly-to-Bayley. Despite the loss from Alexa Bliss here, she proved that she could be a future NXT Women’s Champion one day with that performance so big props to her. With this win, Bayley looks to get back her NXT Women’s Championship.

After the match, Bayley cut a promo on how that it was a long road to recovery and that she was frustrated that Nia Jax took her spot at NXT The End.

This led to Nia Jax coming out to the ring to confront her. The two began to stare off and talk trash to each other until Bayley said that she wants another match with her and Nia Jax responded with a smile as well as a yes as she leaves the ring.

It seems like we’ll be getting another match between Bayley and Nia Jax which is fine by me as it should be another good match between the two to possibly determine the next contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. I’ll be looking forward to that when it happens.

Great women’s match and good post-match segment. I’ll be looking forward to Bayley Vs. Nia Jax when they face off once again in the near future.

The vignette for TM-61 was pretty good as it highlights their careers in NXT so far. TM-61 is a tag team on the horizon and I see them being future NXT Tag Team Champions once they get a push towards them. They are The Mighty… and The Mighty Don’t Kneel! Well produced vignette here.

The backstage interview with The Revival by Cathy Kelley was good. Cathy Kelley asks The Revival if they’re worried to lose their tag team championships against American Alpha, but The Revival responds by saying that there’s no chance of that happening as they will walk out still NXT Tag Team Champions and they will show the world why they are the best tag team on the planet.

The Revival are looking ready for their match against American Alpha which should be excellent. Looking forward to it. Good backstage interview here.

Hype Bros Vs. BAM Factor was… well, for the time it got, it had potential to be a good tag team match. However, something happened as the match was going on, but we’ll get to that later.

It seems like the dissension between Blake and Buddy Murphy increase during this match as they were both arguing to each other with the tags and so forth to the point where they even ignore Mojo Rawley which was funny. I still hope that BAM Factor doesn’t split up as the more tag teams in NXT, the better. Plus, I don’t think they will do well as singles wrestlers anyway so please keep them as a tag team NXT.

As BAM Factor were arguing with each other, Rhyno came out and gores everyone as Buddy Murphy escapes and stares Rhyno from the ramp as Rhyno stood tall in the ring! Rhyno has returned to NXT! Mark out moment!

The last time we saw Rhyno in NXT was at NXT Respect where he went on to the main roster for a little bit before fading away after a couple of months. Why is Rhyno back on NXT? Hopefully, we will get that answer soon, but it’s great to see him back as he could help out the NXT guys while he’s down there like he did before. Gore! Gore! Gore!

Great to see Rhyno back and I can’t wait to hear the reason why Rhyno is back on NXT.

We then get a video package of the feud between Shinsuke Nakamura Vs. Finn Balor as their match will take place next week. I like how guys like Triple H, Tye Dillinger, American Alpha, etc. were talking about this match as this match had the potential to be something spectacular which it will be. The only problem I have with this is that there’s no real heat in this as it’s just two best friends battling it out. Though, they do have a storyline where Shinsuke Nakamura wants to become NXT Champion and in order to do that, he needs to beat the best and who is the best in NXT right now? Finn Balor.

This should be an excellent match as these two can with their match in NJPW two years ago, but I just wish there was more meaning to it. Other than that, I’m excited for the match and it should be excellent. Good video package here.

The backstage interview with American Alpha by Andrea D’Marco was good. American Alpha says that they are ready for their match and the longer the match goes, the better they will become. They are ready…, willing…, and Gable!

American Alpha are also ready for their match against The Revival which should be excellent. Looking forward to it. Good backstage interview here.

We then got an interview with Rhyno out in the arena as the interviewer asked Rhyno on why he returned to NXT. Rhyno didn’t say at all as he stares at the interviewer as he walks away.

Hmm…, Rhyno didn’t give any answers on why he returned to NXT which made me even more curious on why he’s back. Hope we’ll get answers soon from Rhyno. Gore! Gore! Gore!

The Revival Vs. American Alpha in a 2 Out of 3 Falls Tag Team Match for the NXT Tag Team Championships was excellent. Mark out moment! Wow…, just wow…, this was an excellent tag team match where both teams brought everything they have in it. Magnificent.

Now, just like I did with Sami Zayn Vs. Samoa Joe in their 2 Out of 3 Falls Match, I will talk about this match in three separate parts where each part will be each fall. Now, let’s get to it!

The first match between The Revival Vs. American Alpha in their 2 Out of 3 Falls Tag Team Match was excellent. Both teams were at their A game for the first fall because the first fall can really help the momentum of the team to win the match altogether.

I love the tag team work of The Revival as they were working on Jason Jordan’s leg throughout the whole match. Great in-ring psychology right there. I also love the intensity that American Alpha bring to the ring as they are always fun to watch. They were ready…, willing…, and Gable!

The first fall came when Jason Jordan made Dash Wilder tap out to the ankle lock. Mark out moment! American Alpha hardly ever use the ankle lock and when they do use it, it feels special. Plus, a nice tribute to Kurt Angle right there as both Jason Jordan and Chad Gable are being compared to him so that was a nice touch. Excellent first match between the two in this 2 Out of 3 Falls Match.

The second match between The Revival Vs. American Alpha in their 2 Out of 3 Falls Tag Team Match was great. American Alpha were trying to seize the momentum they had in this match by getting the first pinfall as The Revival were doing everything they can to even up the score.

The second fall came when Scott Dawson made Jason Jordan tap out to the inverted figure-four leglock. Love that Scott Dawson went after the leg of Jason Jordan again so he can make him tap out to the inverted figure-four leglock. Great in-ring psychology there. A great second match between these two in this 2 Out of 3 Falls Match.

The third and final match between The Revival Vs. American Alpha in their 2 Out of 3 Falls Tag Team Match was excellent. The final minutes of this match was incredible. Both teams went out there and made that final match between them very special and I appreciate that a lot.

American Alpha were on fire in this final match as they knew that this was their last chance of becoming NXT Tag Team Champions while The Revival were doing everything they can to retain their NXT Tag Team Championships. Incredible.

The third and final fall came when The Revival hit The Shatter Machine onto Chad Gable on the ring apron to get the pin and win. Wow! The Shatter Machine can be hit anywhere whether it’s in the ring, the outside, the top rope, or the apron, it looks awesome and devastating. Such a great tag team finisher. Love it!

Even though American Alpha lost this match, they looked excellent in defeat and whether they stay in NXT to help out the other NXT tag teams or move up to the main roster, they are ready…, willing…, and Gable! As for The Revival, they looked better than ever and they just keep getting better. When they say they will revive tag team wrestling, they are and it’s amazing. I can’t wait to see who The Revival will feud with next for the NXT Tag Team Championships. Will it be Wrestling Killers, TM-61, Authors of Pain? Who knows? Either way, I’m looking forward to see what’s next for The Revival because they talk heavy and they hit hard!

Excellent 2 Out of 3 Falls Tag Team Match and I can’t wait to see what’s next for The Revival and American Alpha going forward in NXT.

Overall, great show that is building up characters as well as possibly building new feuds and storylines in the near future. Next week, we’re going to get Shinsuke Nakamura Vs. Finn Balor which should be interesting to see. Looking forward to it. NXT! NXT! NXT!
