The Cruiserweight Classic on September 7, 2016 was an excellent show. CWC will showcase 32 cruiserweight wrestlers from around the world compete in a single elimination tournament in order to become the best cruiserweight wrestler in the world. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a video package showing that Zack Sabre Jr. Vs. Noam Dar and TJ Perkins Vs. Rich Swann will happen in this week’s show in the Cruiserweight Classic. This is good as it shows what’s going on this show and these should be excellent matches. Well produced video package here.

We then see a vignette of Zack Sabre Jr. and it’s a good vignette. Zack Sabre Jr. talks about his wrestling style in the ring and that he’s going to win the Cruiserweight Classic. The vignette also show highlights of his first round and second round match against Tyson Dux and Drew Gulak.

This is good as it shows who Zack Sabre Jr. is as a wrestler and how well he did in the Cruiserweight Classic. I think Kota Ibushi is going to go very far in this tournament and possibly even winning the tournament. Good vignette here.

We then see a vignette of Noam Dar and it’s a good vignette. Noam Dar talks about how his wrestling style in the ring and that’s he going to win the Cruiserweight Classic. The vignette also show highlights of his first and second round match against Gurv Sihra and HoHo Lun.

This is good as it shows who Noam Dar is as a wrestler and how well he did in the Cruiserweight Classic. Whether Noam Dar wins this tournament or not, I hope he gets a contract with NXT. Good vignette here.

Zack Sabre Jr. Vs. Noam Dar was an excellent match. Mark out moment! Before the match, both Zack Sabre Jr. and Noam Dar shook hands.

This was an excellent technical wrestling match where both men looked like they were going to break each other apart despite being best friends.

Zack Sabre Jr. was excellent here as he got to show his British technical wrestling in this match. The selling that Zack Sabre Jr. did here when Noam Dar worked his left leg throughout the entire match was excellent. Not only that, the way he worked on Noam Dar’s left arm is excellent in-ring psychology there. Excellent performance by Zack Sabre Jr. here.

Noam Dar was also excellent in this match as he also got to show his British technical wrestling in this match. The selling that Noam Dar did here when Zack Sabre Jr. worked his left arm throughout the entire match was excellent. Not only that, the way he worked on Zack Sabre Jr.’s left leg is excellent in-ring psychology there. Excellent performance by Noam Dar here.

Zack Sabre Jr. wins this match as the referee calls the wrestlers in and raises Zack Sabre Jr.’s hand and declares him the winner. After the match, both Zack Sabre Jr. and Noam Dar hugged each other in signs of sportsmanship. This was nice to see after an amazing match between these two.

Excellent match and with that, Zack Sabre Jr. moves on to the semi-finals of the Cruiserweight Classic as he will face Gran Metalik which should be an excellent match.

We then see a vignette of TJ Perkins and it’s a good vignette. TJ Perkins talks about how that he’s the best in the Cruiserweight Classic and that he has a pretty good chance of winning the Cruiserweight Classic. The vignette also show highlights of his first round and second round match against Da Mack and Johnny Gargano.

This is good as it shows who TJ Perkins is as a character as he seems very cocky and confident here. Whether TJ Perkins win in this tournament or not, I hope he gets a NXT contract. Good vignette here.

We then see a vignette of Rich Swann and it’s a good vignette. Rich Swann talks about how he’s wrestling for entertaining the fans and that no matter what obstacles you have to go through, you can succeed. The vignette also show highlights of his first round and second match against Jason Lee and Lince Dorado.

This is good as it shows who Rich Swann is as a character and it makes you want to support him because he works so hard to get to this point. Whether Rich Swann wins this tournament or not, I expect him to get a push in NXT after this tournament is over. Good vignette here.

TJ Perkins Vs. Rich Swann was an excellent match. Mark out moment! Before the match, both TJ Perkins and Rich Swann shook hands.

Both men were very even in this match that either man could have walked out the victor and it would have been believable as it was two friends battling it out to see who can move on to the semi-finals of the Cruiserweight Classic.

TJ Perkins was excellent in this match as he got to show his technical wrestling and his charisma in this match. The way he worked on Rich Swann’s left leg throughout the match was excellent in-ring psychology there. Not only that, he got to show his charisma in the ring as well by doing dabs once in a while during the match. Excellent performance by TJ Perkins here.

Rich Swann was excellent in this match as well as he showed more of his wrestling style and his charisma in this match. The selling that Rich Swann did her when TJ Perkins worked his left leg throughout the entire match was excellent. Also, his no hands Super Frankensteiner, his rolling splash, his cartwheel moonsault, and his spinning delayed Michinoku Driver looked beautiful and well executed. Not only that, he got to show some charisma in this match by dancing a bit and mocking TJ Perkins’s dabbing. Excellent performance by Rich Swann here.

TJ Perkins wins this match here as the referee calls the wrestlers in and raises TJ Perkins’s hand and declares him the winner. After the match, TJ Perkins immediately went to check on Rich Swann to see if his friend is okay. After that the declaration of TJ Perkins being the winner, both men hugged each other in signs of sportsmanship. This was nice to see after an amazing match between these two. Also, I like how TJ Perkins show a bit of remorse of what he did to Rich Swann showing the friendship he has with Rich Swann which is nice to see. Great sign of friendship after the match.

Excellent match and with that, TJ Perkins moves on to the semi-finals of the Cruiserweight Classic as he will face Kota Ibushi which should be an excellent match.

We then get an announcement that next week will be the finals of the Cruiserweight Classic and it will be a live two hour special! Mark out moment! Not only next week’s show will be live, but it will also be two hours! Yes! Should be a great show next week and I can’t wait.

Overall, excellent show for the ninth show of the Cruiserweight Classic. It’s near the end and I’m sad to see this go, but I’ll talk about it more next week when it will have its last episode. Next week, we’ll see the semi-finals and finals of the Cruiserweight Classic which should be great. Looking forward to next week’s show, it should be awesome.
