NXT on October 26, 2016 was a great show that is building up NXT Toronto in three weeks. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with #DIY Vs. Tian Bing & HoHo Lun in the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and it was a good tag team match. HoHo Lun has made an appearance on NXT and Tian Bing has made his debut for NXT! Mark out moment for both! It’s great to see China being represented here as I’m Chinese so seeing these two in the tournament is great. Hope NXT signs HoHo Lun in the future because he has a lot of potential.

Tian Bing & HoHo Lun did well in this match as they got to show their tag team chemistry. Tian Bing was very impressive in this match as he got some vicious kicks and HoHo Lun did well too showing his high-flying abilities. Hope to see more of them in NXT in the future. #DIY were themselves in this match as they continue to show their great chemistry in the ring. Johnny Gargano’s middle rope spear is always impressive to watch and see. Love that move. Good performances by both teams here.

The ending of the match came when #DIY hit a superkick/running knee strike to the back of the head on HoHo Lun for the pin and win. With that win, #DIY will move on to the quarter-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic as they will face The Revival which should be an interesting match to see.

Good tag team match and I’m looking forward to #DIY Vs. The Revival in the quarter-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

The backstage interview with TJ Perkins and Kota Ibushi by Charly Caruso earlier in the show was good. Kota Ibushi said that he chose TJ Perkins as his tag team partner due to respect after that their match at the Cruiserweight Classic Live Finale. TJ Perkins then said that they will bring the best out of each other.

Oh my god, TJ Perkins and Kota Ibushi are here in NXT! However, I’ll get into them later. With Hideo Itami being out, TJ Perkins is a good replacement to be Kota Ibushi’s tag team partner in this tournament. Looking forward to seeing them on the show later on. Good backstage interview here.

NXT is coming to Japan for the first time ever in December so get your tickets now before it’s too late and see NXT live!

Hated by Beartooth will be a theme for NXT Toronto and it’s a good song. NXT Toronto is just three weeks away and I can’t wait to see it. Should be a great show.

The backstage interview with Samoa Joe by Charly Caruso was good. Samoa Joe talked about how he was testing the perimeter of what happened last week between him and Shinsuke Nakamura as he’s not afraid of him. Samoa Joe then said that Shinsuke Nakamura dislocated his jaw, he dislocated Shinsuke Nakamura’s shoulder. He then said to Charly Caruso that she’s looking at the next NXT Champion and everyone in NXT should be scared.

Samoa Joe keeps getting better and better with this heel role he has and it has been great. I can’t wait to see him against Shinsuke Nakamura for the NXT Championship at NXT Toronto. It should be excellent. Good backstage interview here.

Aliyah Vs. Billie Kay was a solid women’s match. Peyton Royce was accompanying Billie Kay in this match and these two worked very well together whether they’re in the ring or out of the ring. Great chemistry between these two women.

Billie Kay did well in this match as she tried to get heel heat from the crowd to make them cheer for Aliyah. Aliyah did well in this match too with her trying to fight back against Billie Kay with some nice offense with the kicks. Solid performances by both women here.

The ending of the match came when Liv Morgan came out and pulled down Peyton Royce from the ring as Billie Kay got distracted which led to Aliyah rolling Billie Kay up from behind for the pin and win. Nice to see Aliyah get a win here. Even though Billie Kay lost, she got distracted which cost her to lose which continues the feud between Liv Morgan, Billie Kay, and Peyton Royce so I was fine with the ending.

After the match, Liv Morgan came into the ring and attacked Billie Kay until Peyton Royce came in and beat her down. Aliyah then went to save Liv Morgan, but ends up getting beaten down by Billie Kay and Peyton Royce as Peyton Royce hit Aliyah with a running front kick to the head and Peyton Royce slammed Liv Morgan’s face onto Billie Kay’s knee as they stood tall at the end.

It seems like it’ll be Liv Morgan and Aliyah Vs. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce now in this feud which is great as Liv Morgan needed a partner and I guess Aliyah is that partner for her. Will be interesting to see where this feud goes on from here. Yo!

Solid women’s match and good post-match as I’m interested to see what’s next in this feud between Liv Morgan, Aliyah, Billie Kay, and Peyton Royce in NXT.

Tye Dillinger Vs. Noah Potjes was a good squash match. This was a good squash match that helped Tye Dillinger get ready for his match against Bobby Roode at NXT Toronto.

Noah Potjes did well in this match by getting a little offense on Tye Dillinger before getting squashed by Tye Dillinger as Tye Dillinger hit Noah Potjes with the Tye Breaker for the pin and win. With this win, Tye Dillinger is looking strong heading into NXT Toronto with his match against Bobby Roode.

After the match, Mike Rome interviewed Tye Dillinger from the stage as Tye Dillinger said that Bobby Roode has been running away as of late which led to Bobby Roode attacking Tye Dillinger from behind as he took out Tye Dillinger with a lifting DDT on the stage as he yelled to a fallen Tye Dillinger, “You want me? You got me!” as he posed to the crowd.

This was a nice way to continue the feud between Tye Dillinger and Bobby Roode as I can’t wait for their match at NXT Toronto which should be great. Looking forward to it. Glorious! Ten!

Good squash match and good-post match as I’m looking forward to Tye Dillinger Vs. Bobby Roode at NXT Toronto.

Devin’s Call by Parkway Drive will be a theme for NXT Toronto and it’s a good song. NXT Toronto is just three weeks away and I can’t wait to see it. Should be a great show.

The backstage interview with TM-61 by Dasha Fuentes was good. Nick Miller talked about how Generation Next was a great tag team back then, but right now, TM-61 is the best tag team in the world. Shane Thorne then talked about how it’s more than just family as family don’t get to choose each other, but they did as they think with one mind and one fist. They then said that they are the mighty and The Mighty Don’t Kneel.

This was a good way to show the mic skills of TM-61 which I think they did pretty well for themselves here. Looking forward to their match against Generation Next in the quarter-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Should be a great tag team match. Good backstage interview here.

Asuka Vs. Thea Trinidad was a good women’s squash match. Oh my god! Thea Trinidad made an appearance on NXT! Mark out moment! For those of you who don’t know, Thea Trinidad is also known as Rosita during her time in TNA so seeing her here is great. Would like to see NXT sign her as she would be a nice addition to the NXT women’s division.

Even though Thea Trinidad did get a little offense in this match, Asuka dominated her throughout the entire match and made her tap out with a Fujiwara armbar for the win. At this point, who can stop Asuka? Well, we got our answer with the post-match which I will talk about next.

After the match, William Regal came out from the ramp and applauded Asuka for her dominance in NXT. He then scouted the whole world to find an opponent for Asuka at NXT Toronto as he pointed to the titantron.

We then see a video message of a woman and the woman turned out to be Mickie James! Mark out moment! It’s been six years since we last saw Mickie James in WWE and now she’s going to be at NXT Toronto! She reminded Asuka that she helped lay the foundation of women’s wrestling and now she’s coming back to take that NXT Women’s Championship from her.

So we’re going to get Asuka Vs. Mickie James for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Toronto, awesome! Should be a great women’s match when it happens and I can’t wait to see Mickie James back in a WWE ring, but in this particular case, I can’t wait to see her in a NXT ring. Looking forward to it. Hardcore Country!

Good women’s squash match and excellent post-match as I’m looking forward to Asuka Vs. Mickie James at NXT Toronto for the NXT Women’s Championship.

The backstage interview with Paul Ellering and Authors of Pain by Charly Caruso was good. Paul Ellering said to Authors of Pain that this is their house of pain as Charly Caruso came by and asked them about their progress in NXT. Paul Ellering said that the plan and strategy is being executed perfectly. He then said that for No Way Jose and Rich Swann, they have a bright future ahead of them, but they won’t be advancing to the semi-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic as Authors of Pain shared a few aggressive words not in English as they leave.

Authors of Pain are here to create destruction and Paul Ellering will do whatever it takes to make that happen. No Way Jose and Rich Swann better be ready as Authors of Pain will be a tough team to beat. Looking forward to their tag team match when it happens. Good backstage interview here.

NXT is coming to Australia for the first time ever in December so get your tickets now before it’s too late and see NXT live!

It was announced that next week, it will be No Way Jose and Rich Swann Vs. Authors of Pain and SAnitY will be action in the quarter-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Should be fun tag team matches next week. Looking forward to them.

TJ Perkins & Kota Ibushi Vs. Lince Dorado & Mustafa Ali in the first round match of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic was an excellent tag team match. Mark out moment! Not only that, TJ Perkins has made his debut on NXT and Kota Ibushi, Lince Dorado, and Mustafa Ali made their return to NXT! Mark out moment for all four! It’s great to see these four in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and they delivered a fun tag team match here.

Lince Dorado and Mustafa Ali did excellent in this match as they got to showcase their chemistry as a tag team as well as TJ Perkins and Kota Ibushi who also showed their chemistry as a tag team. The exchange between TJ Perkins and Lince Dorado was fun to watch and the exchange between Kota Ibushi and Mustafa Ali was fun to watch as well.

To me, Mustafa Ali was the star of this match as he got to show that he deserved to be noticed out of all of the four competitors in this match. I really love his rolling through the middle ropes into a jumping neckbreaker on TJ Perkins. Great move. The dives that Lince Dorado and Kota Ibushi did were amazing as well. Excellent performances by all four men here.

The ending of the match came when TJ Perkins locked in the kneebar on Mustafa Ali to make Mustafa Ali tap out for the win. With that win, TJ Perkins and Kota Ibushi will move on to the quarter-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic as they will face SAnitY which should be an interesting match to see.

Excellent tag team match and I’m looking forward to TJ Perkins and Kota Ibushi Vs. SAnitY in the quarter-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Overall, great show that is building up NXT Toronto in three weeks. Next week, we’re going to see No Way Jose & Rich Swann Vs. Authors of Pain and TJ Perkins & Kota Ibushi Vs. SAnitY in the quarter-final matches of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic which should be interesting to see. Looking forward to it. NXT! NXT! NXT!
