205 Live on December 13, 2016 was a good show. 205 Live is a show where the cruiserweights take center stage as they will risk their bodies to entertain us wrestling fans. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a video package showcasing highlights of what happened last week between Rich Swann, TJ Perkins, and The Brian Kendrick. This is good as it lets people know on what happened last week in case people missed it or forgot about it. Well produced video package here.

We then heard from Mauro Ranallo, Corey Graves, and Austin Aries that at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line, it will be Rich Swann Vs. TJ Perkins Vs. The Brian Kendrick for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and later on the show, it will be Rich Swann Vs. TJ Perkins. This is good as it hypes both matches later on in the night and this Sunday for the PPV which should be great matches so I’m looking forward to them. Anyway, let’s get on with the show.

Jack Gallagher Vs. Drew Gulak was a good match. Before the match, we get a recap of what happened on Monday Night Raw as Jack Gallagher interrupted Ariya Daivari’s match against Lince Dorado where he got the upper hand on Ariya Daivari. This was a good way to let people know what happened on Monday Night Raw so I was perfectly fine with this. Both men shook hands before the match.

Drew Gulak did well in this match as he tried to take down Jack Gallagher throughout the whole match. His headbutt to Jack Gallagher looked devastating. Jack Gallagher did well in this match too as he showed his charisma in this match. His headbutt to Drew Gulak looked devastating as well. Good performances by both men here.

The ending of the match came when Jack Gallagher hit a running dropkick on Drew Gulak to the corner for the pin and win. Another win for Jack Gallagher as he’s looking to become a future WWE Cruiserweight Champion and that will be extraordinary.

Good match and I’m interested to see what’s next for Jack Gallagher and Drew Gulak.

The backstage segment between TJ Perkins and Rich Swann was good. TJ Perkins was getting ready for his match later on the show until Rich Swann showed up and told TJ Perkins that he’s still feeling lucky after the past few weeks. TJ Perkins then told Rich Swann that they may be friends, but at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line, he’s going to beat Rich Swann for that WWE Cruiserweight Championship and that eventually, luck runs out.

It seems like the tension is slightly building up between Rich Swann and TJ Perkins here as TJ Perkins is starting to look more cocky each week. Will we see a heel turn from TJ Perkins? I guess we’ll find out soon enough. Good backstage segment here.

We then get a vignette of Tajiri and that he’ll be coming to 205 Live soon. Oh my god! Tajiri is coming to 205 Live! Mark out moment! The last time we saw Tajiri in WWE was in the Cruiserweight Classic and now he’s going to be back being a part of the WWE Cruiserweight division. Looking forward to Tajiri’s debut when it happens.

The backstage segment with Jack Gallagher and Ariya Daivari by Tom Phillips was good. Jack Gallagher was walking backstage until he bumped into Tom Phillips who congratulated him for his victory and Jack Gallagher told Tom Phillips thank you and that his knee is feeling a lot better. As he was about to continue, Ariya Daivari showed up and Jack Gallagher told him that he’s willing to let everything go after what happened between the two of them the past few weeks. Ariya Daivari then told Jack Gallagher that they’re not even and that he’ll get even with Jack Gallagher very soon.

I guess the feud between Jack Gallagher and Ariya Daivari is far from over as it seems like there will be a rematch between the two down the road. They have been producing good matches as of late so I’m looking forward to their next encounter. Good backstage segment here.

Lince Dorado Vs. Mustafa Ali was a good match for what it was. Before the match, we get promo packages from Lince Dorado and Mustafa Ali as they talked about themselves. Lince Dorado said that he’s going to bring lucha libre in 205 Live and he’s going to be the leader of it. Mustafa Ali said that despite not getting the respect that he deserves because of his name, he’s going to prove everyone wrong.

Nice ways to show character development here as well as showcasing their mic skills. They both shook hands before the match started.

Mustafa Ali did well in this match as he got to showcase his skills in the ring. His rolling through the middle rope into a jumping neckbreaker on Lince Dorado was well executed. Lince Dorado did well in this match too as he got to show his lucha libre style in the ring. His tilt-a-whirl headscissors and Asai Moonsault on Mustafa Ali were executed. Good performances by both men here.

The ending of the match came when both men were both counted out as Mustafa Ali and Lince Dorado couldn’t get back in the ring in time after Lince Dorado’s Asai Moonsault to Mustafa Ali. It’s a shame that we didn’t get a finish in this match as it was starting to get really good. Hopefully, they will face each other again down the line.

After the match, Lince Dorado extended his hand to Mustafa Ali, but Mustafa Ali ended up slapping Lince Dorado’s face which led to Lince Dorado hitting a spinning wheel kick on Mustafa Ali as Mustafa Ali began to retreat.

I guess we’re going to have a feud between Lince Dorado and Mustafa Ali which is fine by me as these two have pretty good chemistry with each other in the ring. Looking forward to their match against each other down the road.

Good match for what it was and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next in this Lince Dorado Vs. Mustafa Ali feud.

The backstage segment between Alicia Fox and Noam Dar was good. Alicia Fox was walking backstage until she bumped into Noam Dar as Noam Dar was surprised that Alicia Fox didn’t say anything to him last week. Alicia Fox then told Noam Dar that she already has a boyfriend as Noam Dar told her that he’ll be seeing her around.

This was a good way to keep the feud between Cedric Alexander and Noam Dar going if they’re not in a match. Looking forward to seeing what’s next in this feud. Good backstage segment here.

We then get a vignette about TJ Perkins and it was great. TJ Perkins talked about how winning the Cruiserweight Classic was very special to him and that wrestling helped him, but also damaged him. However, he’s very happy about what he accomplished in wrestling and if it weren’t for wrestling, he wouldn’t be here today. He then talked about who he is and what he represents and that he is great for this generation of wrestling.

I know I said this plenty of times, but I’ll say it again. This was great as it really shows who TJ Perkins is as a character and why people should care about him or not. Something I wish WWE would do more, but this was great. Great vignette for TJ Perkins here.

Rich Swann Vs. TJ Perkins was a great match. Before the match, both men shook hands and The Brian Kendrick was on commentary for this match.

Rich Swann did great in this match as he got to showcase his charisma and in-ring skills and TJ Perkins did great in this match too as he’s looking to prepare himself for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship match at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line. Great performances by both men here.

The ending of the match came when TJ Perkins locked in the kneebar on Rich Swann to make Rich Swann tap out as he wins the match. A great win for TJ Perkins here as he got a victory over the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. TJ Perkins is looking strong at WWE Roadblock. Too easy! *Dabs*

After the match, The Brian Kendrick came into the ring from the commentary booth as he extended his hand towards Rich Swann. Rich Swann then slapped The Brian Kendrick’s hand away which led to The Brian Kendrick trying to shake hands with TJ Perkins, but TJ Perkins hit a superkick on The Brian Kendrick as he rolled out of the ring. TJ Perkins was about to hit a superkick on Rich Swann, but stopped as he left the ring telling Rich Swann that the WWE Cruiserweight Championship will be his.

It looks like TJ Perkins is ready for WWE Roadblock: End of the Line as he’s looking strong heading into the WWE Cruiserweight Championship match. Will he be the one who will win the title? I guess we’ll find out this Sunday. Too easy! *Dabs*

Great match and I’m looking forward to Rich Swann Vs. TJ Perkins Vs. The Brian Kendrick at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line.

Overall, good show for the third episode of 205 Live. It’s great to see the cruiserweights with more focus and attention here and it’s only going to get better from here. Looking forward to it.
