205 Live on December 20, 2016 was a great show. 205 Live is a show where the cruiserweights take center stage as they will risk their bodies to entertain us wrestling fans. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a video package showcasing highlights of what happened at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line and Monday Night Raw between Rich Swann, TJ Perkins, The Brian Kendrick, and Neville. This is good as it lets people know on what happened at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line and Monday Night Raw in case people missed it or forgot about it. Well produced video package here.

Lince Dorado Vs. Ariya Daivari was a good match. Before the match, we get a recap of what happened two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw as Jack Gallagher interrupted Ariya Daivari’s match against Lince Dorado where he got the upper hand on Ariya Daivari. This was a good way to let people know what happened two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw so I was perfectly fine with this. Both men shook hands before the match.

Lince Dorado did well in this match as he got to showcase his lucha libre style in the ring. His back handspring stunner and his over the top rope dive on Ariya Daivari were cool to see. Ariya Daivari did well in this match too showcasing his skills in the ring. Good in-ring psychology from Ariya Daivari here as he worked on Lince Dorado’s neck throughout the match. Good performances by both men here.

The ending of the match came when Ariya Daivari hit a frog splash on Lince Dorado for the pin and win. A good win for Ariya Daivari here as he is looking to get even with Jack Gallagher.

After the match, Dasha Fuentes was in the ring interviewing Ariya Daivari about his win as Ariya Daivari said that Jack Gallagher is not a gentleman, but a scoundrel as he left the ring.

It seems like Ariya Daivari wants more of Jack Gallagher and I’m fine with these two continuing to feud with each other as they have been producing some great matches. Looking forward to the next encounter between Jack Gallagher and Ariya Daivari down the road.

Good match and I’m interested to see what’s next in the Jack Gallagher Vs. Ariya Daivari feud.

The backstage segment between Neville and The Brian Kendrick was good. Neville was getting ready backstage for his match later on the show until The Brian Kendrick showed up and told him that they’re going to be great together. Neville then stopped The Brian Kendrick and told him that they need to be respected. However, he told The Brian Kendrick that they aren’t friends and that there’s only one king of the cruiserweights and that is him.

It seems like Neville is all business and he wants to be known as The King of the Cruiserweights. It will be interesting to see whether or not that Neville and The Brian Kendrick will work together later on the show. Good backstage segment here.

We then get a vignette of Tajiri and that he’ll be coming to 205 Live soon. Can’t wait to see Tajiri back in WWE and his arrival to 205 Live should be great. Looking forward to it.

Cedric Alexander Vs. Drew Gulak was a great match. Before the match, we get a recap of what happened on Monday Night Raw as Cedric Alexander defeated Noam Dar, but Noam Dar told Cedric Alexander that all he wanted for Christmas is Alicia Fox which made Cedric Alexander pissed off. This was a good way to let people know what happened on Monday Night Raw so I was perfectly fine with this. Both men shook hands before the match.

Drew Gulak did great in this match as he did whatever means necessary to win the match. His grappling and takedowns to Cedric Alexander were nice to see. Cedric Alexander did great in this match too as he was trying to impress Alicia Fox. His springboard clothesline and suplex to the outside on Drew Gulak were well executed. Great performances by both men here.

The ending of the match came when Drew Gulak pushed Cedric Alexander to Alicia Fox where Alicia Fox got her ankle broken as Noam Dar came in to help carry Alicia Fox to the back as Cedric Alexander got distracted. This led to Drew Gulak rolling up Cedric Alexander from behind with a schoolboy, but Cedric Alexander kicked out and finished off Cedric Alexander with the Lumbar Check (Belly-to-Back Suplex into a Double Knee Backbreaker) for the pin and win. After he got the win, Cedric Alexander ran to the back to see if Alicia Fox is okay.

I don’t know if Drew Gulak did that on purpose or not, but that was not cool on Drew Gulak’s part. Also, Noam Dar was a man right there helping Alicia Fox even though Cedric Alexander may not see it. I like how Cedric Alexander immediately went to the back to check on Alicia Fox just to make sure that Noam Dar didn’t do anything to her. Great storytelling there.

After the match, Drew Gulak was walking up the ramp until Dasha Fuentes interviewed him about his loss as Drew Gulak said that Alicia Fox was the reason why he lost as this is a man’s world and that Alicia Fox doesn’t belong in 205 Live as he left.

Wow Drew Gulak, I didn’t know you were a sexist, but man, that hurts. With his string of losses lately, I don’t blame Drew Gulak for being mad so this was a way to vent out his frustration. Will be interesting to see what Drew Gulak does next in the Cruiserweight division.

Great match and good post-match as I’m interested to see what’s next for the Cedric Alexander and Noam Dar as well as for Drew Gulak.

We then get a vignette about Jack Gallagher and it was good. Jack Gallagher talked about his unique in-ring style as well as showing the world that he is here to prove that he is one of the best wrestlers in the world today.

This was good as it really shows who Jack Gallagher is as a character and what his motives are in WWE. This is something I wish WWE would do more of, but this was good. Good vignette here.

The backstage segment between Alicia Fox, Noam Dar, and Cedric Alexander was good. Noam Dar was helping Alicia Fox backstage until Cedric Alexander apologized to Alicia Fox about what he did as he told Noam Dar thanks, but he can handle it from here. Noam Dar then told Alicia Fox that if she ever needed help, he’ll be there for her as he smiled at Cedric Alexander while leaving as Cedric Alexander looked pissed off.

It seems like Noam Dar is playing mind games with Cedric Alexander now. Whose side will Alicia Fox choose? Noam Dar or Cedric Alexander? Either way, it will be interesting to see what’s next in this feud between Cedric Alexander and Noam Dar. Good backstage segment here.

Rich Swann & TJ Perkins Vs. Neville & The Brian Kendrick was an excellent tag team match. Mark out moment! After what happened on WWE Roadblock: End of the Line and Monday Night Raw, it all led to this tag team match and all of these four men delivered.

Rich Swann & TJ Perkins did excellent in this match as they were trying to fight back against Neville and The Brian Kendrick despite getting beat up throughout the match. Rich Swann’s superkick to Neville looked devastating. TJ Perkins’ double chickenwing into a double knee gutbuster on The Brian Kendrick along with the Fireman’s carry into a roundhouse kick followed by the kneebar on The Brian Kendrick were well executed. Excellent performances by Rich Swann and TJ Perkins here.

Neville & The Brian Kendrick did excellent in this match as they were trying to wear down Rich Swann and TJ Perkins at every point in the match. The Brian Kendrick’s reverse STO on Rich Swann lookd devastating. The Brian Kendrick’s Sliced Bread #2 (Shiranui) into the Captain’s Hook (Grounded reverse chinlock) on Rich Swann was well executed. His suicide dive to Rich Swann was well executed as well. Neville’s bridging German suplex on Rich Swann and his enziguri on TJ Perkins when TJ Perkins was about to hit a springboard dropkick on him were well executed. Excellent performances by Neville and The Brian Kendrick here.

The ending of the match came when Neville hit the Red Arrow (Corkscrew Shooting Star Press) on TJ Perkins for the pin and win. Neville is looking strong with his new heel character and I have a feeling it might get better from here. Great win for Neville’s new heel character. He has landed on 205 Live!

Excellent tag team match and I’m looking forward what’s next for Rich Swann, TJ Perkins, Neville, and The Brian Kendrick in the Cruiserweight division.

Overall, great show for the fourth episode of 205 Live. It’s great to see the cruiserweights with more focus and attention here and it’s only going to get better from here. Looking forward to it.
