205 Live on February 14, 2017 was a great show. 205 Live is a show where the cruiserweights take center stage as they will risk their bodies to entertain us wrestling fans. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a video package showing highlights of the Fatal Five Way Elimination match and the faceoff between Jack Gallagher and Neville last week. This is good as it lets people know what happened last week in case people missed it or forgot about it. Well produced video package here.

Rich Swann Vs. Noam Dar was a great match. Before the match, Rich Swann cut a promo about how he’s back on 205 Live and that it’s Valentine Day as he dedicate this match to Alicia Fox. He then told Alicia Fox that he can’t handle this as Alicia Fox and Noam Dar were shocked. Great to see Rich Swann back in action after being out with an injury and man, he took a shot at Alicia Fox. Ouch!

Noam Dar did great in this match as he tried to take down Rich Swann after what he said to Alicia Fox. The way he worked on Rich Swann’s ankle was great in-ring psychology and his lariat to the back of Rich Swann’s head looked devastating. Rich Swann did great in this match too as he showed that he still has it in the ring despite being out of action for a while. His no hands Frankensteiner on Noam Dar was beautifully done. Great performances by both men here.

The ending of the match came when Rich Swann hit a middle rope corkscrew 450 splash on Noam Dar for the pin and win. A good win for Rich Swann as he’s looking to get back into the WWE Cruiserweight Championship picture. Can you handle this?!

Great match and I’m intersted to see what’s next for Rich Swann and Noam Dar in the cruiserweight division.

We then get a sit-down interview with TJ Perkins and Neville by Corey Graves as TJ Perkins and Neville were backstage while Corey Graves was on the commentary table. Corey Graves asked Neville about his thoughts on TJ Perkins of being a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and Neville said he may be one, but if he was in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic, he wouldn’t be Cruiserweight Champion. TJ Perkins then interrupted Neville and told him that he earned the right to become WWE Cruiserweight Champion while Neville did nothing, but complaining.

Neville then told TJ Perkins that he’s no longer WWE Cruiserweight Champion because of him and that as long as he’s champion, he’ll never be WWE Cruiserweight Champion again. TJ Perkins then told Neville that his attitude will cost him and that he will lose the WWE Cruiserweight Championship because of it as TJ Perkins told Neville that he went from NXT Champion to a man that didn’t even appear on Raw when the cruiserweight division started which made Neville pissed off. Neville then told TJ Perkins that he will regret for saying that.

Man, TJ Perkins just took a shot at Neville right there and I don’t blame Neville for being ticked off because of that. The match between TJ Perkins and Neville later on the show should be great and I’m looking forward to it. Good interview segment here.

We then get a video package about Gran Metalik and it was good. We see highlights of Gran Metalk Vs. TJ Perkins in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic Live Finale. Gran Metalik talked about how talented TJ Perkins was and that he was disappointed in losing because he thought he would have won the WWE Cruiserweight Classic. Gran Metalik then said that he’s here in 205 Live to show the world his lucha libre style of wrestling and why he is the best in the world today.

Good video package of Gran Metalik here as we get to know his character, what he’s about, and so forth. Looking forward to his debut which we will talk about next!

Gran Metalik Vs. Drew Gulak was a good match. Gran Metalik has made his debut for 205 Live! Mark out moment! Great to see Gran Metalik finally in 205 Live as people will now see how great Gran Metalik is in the ring. Before the match, both men shook hands.

Drew Gulak did well in this match as he tried to take down Gran Metalik at every point possible. The way he started off the match with a running dropkick to Gran Metalik once the bell rang looked devastating and his Gory special on Gran Metalik was impressive. Gran Metalik did well in this match as he showed his lucha libre style of wrestling despite having a few botches in the ring probably due to nerves. His springboard somersault dive on Drew Gulak to the outside was beautiful. Good performances by both men here.

The ending of the match came when Gran Metalik hit Drew Gulak with the Metalik Driver (Samoan Driver) for the pin and win. A good win for Gran Metalik as he’s looking to make a name for himself in the cruiserweight division of WWE.

Good match and I’m interested to see what’s next for Gran Metalik and Drew Gulak in the cruiserweight division.

The backstage segment between Akira Tozawa and The Brian Kendrick was good. Akira Tozawa was packing up until The Brian Kendrick came in and wanted to talk to Akira Tozawa about being his apprentice. Akira Tozawa said no as The Brian Kendrick told Akira Tozawa that he probably doesn’t understand what he’s talking about and Akira Tozawa told The Brian Kendrick that he understands, but doesn’t like him as he left with The Brian Kendrick being pissed off.

It seems like The Brian Kendrick isn’t happy about what Akira Tozawa told him and Akira Tozawa managed to speak a little English here and I thought he did well. I guess The Brian Kendrick will have two feuds now with Akira Tozawa and Tajiri. I wonder if The Brian Kendrick is looking for a tag team partner to team up with him. I guess we’ll find out soon enough. Good backstage segment here.

TJ Perkins Vs. Neville was an excellent match. Mark out moment! Before the match, the referee told TJ Perkins and Neville to shake hands, but Neville refused to shake the hand of TJ Perkins. Again, good character development there from Neville. Anyway, let’s get back to the match.

TJ Perkins did excellent in this match as he tried everything to beat Neville. His springboard DDT on Neville was extremely impressive as it looked like TJ Perkins spiked Neville on his head which looked devastating. Excellent performance from TJ Perkins here.

Neville did excellent in this match as he tried to prove why he is “The King of the Cruiserweights”. The way he hit a one-armed sitout powerbomb on TJ Perkins when TJ Perkins locked him in an armbar was extremely impressive. Excellent performance from Neville here.

The ending of the match came when Neville locked in TJ Perkins with a double underhook crossface to make TJ Perkins tap out for the win. A great win for Neville as he looks to defend the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Jack Gallagher at WWE Fastlane. Bow down to the king!

After the match, Jack Gallagher came into the ring with William III (umbrella) to attack Neville, but Neville got the better of him as he threw William III out of the ring. Jack Gallagher then hit Neville with a few uppercuts followed by a headbutt as Neville retreated and Jack Gallagher grabbed Neville’s WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

It seems like Jack Gallagher is getting in the head of Neville now which is good build up right there between the two of them at WWE Fastlane. Looking forward to their match till then.

Excellent match and good post-match as I’m looking forward to Neville Vs. Jack Gallagher for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at WWE Fastlane.

Overall, great show for the twelfth episode of 205 Live. It’s great to see the cruiserweights with more focus and attention here and it’s only going to get better from here. Looking forward to it.
