205 Live on April 25, 2017 was a good show. 205 Live is a show where the cruiserweights take center stage as they will risk their bodies to entertain us wrestling fans. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a video package as we see highlights of Austin Aries and Gentleman Jack Gallagher Vs. Neville and TJ Perkins on Monday Night Raw. This is good as it lets people know what happened on Monday Night Raw in case people missed it or forgot about it. Well produced video package here.

Rich Swann & Akira Tozawa Vs. Noam Dar & The Brian Kendrick was a good tag team match. Before the match, we got a recap of what happened last week as The Brian Kendrick costed Tony Nese a match against Akira Tozawa which led to Akira Tozawa another lesson to The Brian Kendrick. This is good as it showed what happened last week to see what happened in the feud so that was good.

Noam Dar & The Brian Kendrick did well in this match as they tried to get over their rivals. The sweep kick that Noam Dar did to Rich Swann when Rich Swann was on the top rope looked painful as heck. Rich Swann & Akira Tozawa did well in this match too as they also tried to get the better of their rivals. The suicide dive from Akira Tozawa on The Brian Kendrick and the somersault dive from Rich Swann on Noam Dar was cool to see. The somersault leg drop on the back of The Brian Kendrick’s neck was executed beautifully. Good performances by both teams here.

The ending of the match came when The Brian Kendrick hold up Akira Tozawa from the ring apron and Noam Dar was about to hit him with a forearm smash, but Noam Dar hit The Brian Kendrick instead as Akira Tozawa dodged it where he finished Noam Dar off with the Shining Wizard for the pin and win. A good win for Akira Tozawa and Rich Swann as they got a win over their rivals. Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!

After the match, Akira Tozawa grabbed a mic and told The Brian Kendrick who was in the ring about lesson four which is always choose wisely as Akira Tozawa and Rich Swann left with The Brian Kendrick looking furious.

Once again, Akira Tozawa taught The Brian Kendrick another lesson. It will be interesting to see how The Brian Kendrick will respond to Akira Tozawa next. Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!

Good match and I’m interested to see what’s next in this feud between Akira Tozawa and The Brian Kendrick.

The backstage interview with Neville by Dasha Fuentes was good. Neville talked about how Gentleman Jack Gallagher doesn’t belong in the same ring as he does and he’s going to prove it when he face him later on the show. He then said that he hopes that Austin Aries is watching because what he will do to Gentleman Jack Gallagher will be the same to what he will do with him at WWE Payback. He then said that no one is at his level and that soon, everyone in the Cruiserweight division will bow down to him.

It seems like Neville is ready for his match against Gentleman Jack Gallagher later on the show which should be a great match. Looking forward to it. Good backstage interview here.

Mustafa Ali Vs. Tony Nese was a good match. Before the match, we got a recap of what happened last week when Drew Gulak distracted Mustafa Ali for Ariya Daivari to get the win over Mustafa Ali. This is good as it showed what happened last week for those who have missed it or forgot about it. Not only that, Drew Gulak came out his sign and megaphone as he said that he’s going to make 205 Live better and continuing to chant, “I’m not lying, no high flying” as he made his way to commentary table. This was a way to continue the feud between Mustafa Ali and Drew Gulak so I was fine with it.

Mustafa Ali did well in this match as he tried to get a victory. His flying moves in this match were well executed. Tony Nese did well in this match too as he tried to get a win after his lost last week. The way he showed his hybrid style of wrestling in the ring was good to see. Good performances by both men here.

The ending of the match came when Drew Gulak pulled Tony Nese out of the ring from Mustafa Ali’s inverted 450 splash as Tony Nese won by disqualification. Probably not the way Tony Nese wanted to win, but it’s a win for him regardless as Drew Gulak is trying to make 205 Live better.

After the match, Mustafa Ali went to the top rope and hit a somersault senton on Drew Gulak to the outside. He then threw Drew Gulak in the ring as Drew Gulak escaped as Mustafa Ali looked on.

That was a cool spot from Mustafa Ali and it seems like the match between Mustafa Ali and Drew Gulak will happen sooner rather than later. Looking forward to the match between the two when it happens.

Good match and I’m interested to see what’s next in this Mustafa Ali and Drew Gulak feud.

Gentleman Jack Gallagher Vs. Neville was an excellent match. Mark out moment! With these two having history with each other going back into WWE Fastlane, I expect an excellent match out of them and they delivered just that.

Gentleman Jack Gallagher did excellent in this match as he’s trying to make a statement on the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. His suicide dive on Neville to the outside was well executed. His dropkick and headbutt to Neville looked devastating. Excellent performance from Gentleman Jack Gallagher here.

Neville did excellent in this match as well as he’s making a statement to Austin Aries at WWE Payback. The way he did a kip up after Gentleman Jack Gallagher’s dropkick on him was cool to see. His running boot to the back of Gentleman Jack Gallagher’s head looked devastating. Excellent performance from Neville here.

The ending of the match came when Neville locked in the crossface/scissored armbar combination on Gentleman Jack Gallagher to make Gentleman Jack Gallagher for the win. A great win for Neville as he’s ready to defend the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at WWE Payback. Bow down to the king!

After the match, Neville was walking up the ramp as the referee tried to help Gentleman Jack Gallagher to go to the back, but Neville ended up attacking Gentleman Jack Gallagher by hitting a big boot on Gentleman Jack Gallagher. Neville then dragged Gentleman Jack Gallagher up the ramp and was about to lock in the crossface/scissored armbar combination on Gentleman Jack Gallagher.

Before he could apply it, Austin Aries came in and fought with Neville. Austin Aries then hit Neville with the Discus Fivearm (Discus forearm smash) followed by the Last Chancery on Neville before referees broke it up. Austin Aries then got in the ring as he posed to the crowd as he stared at Neville.

It seems like Austin Aries is ready for Neville at WWE Payback, but is Neville ready for Austin Aries after that attack? I guess we’ll find out at WWE Payback. Looking forward to the match when it happens. “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived”!

Excellent match and I’m looking forward to Neville Vs. Austin Aries at WWE Payback for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

Overall, good show for the twenty second episode of 205 Live. It’s great to see the cruiserweights with more focus and attention here and it’s only going to get better from here. Looking forward to it.
