205 Live on May 16, 2017 was a great show. 205 Live is a show where the cruiserweights take center stage as they will risk their bodies to entertain us wrestling fans. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a video package as we see highlights of Austin Aries & Gentleman Jack Gallagher Vs. Neville & TJP on Monday Night Raw as well as Neville talking to TJP backstage as they want to take out Austin Aries for good. This is good as it lets people know what happened on Monday Night Raw in case people missed it or forgot about it. Well produced video package here.

The backstage interview with Austin Aries by Dasha Fuentes was good. Dasha Fuentes was about to ask Austin Aries a question, but Austin Aries stopped her and told her that he knows about what she’s going to ask him which is how will you fare against TJP as he answered with that TJP is Neville’s lapdog and TJP believes that if he beats him, Neville would give him a title opportunity. Austin Aries then said that it won’t happen due to two reasons, Neville is a lair and that TJP that can’t take him down as it doesn’t matter if his knee is injured because TJP will be never at his level and he’s going to prove it.

Austin Aries seems very confident as he thinks he can beat TJP later on the show, but we’ll see how that will go. Good backstage interview here.

Gran Metalik Vs. Noam Dar was a great match. It’s been a while since we last saw Gran Metalik in 205 Live so it’s great to see him back. Hope he gets a push in the cruiserweight division because he’s extremely talented.

Gran Metalik did great in this match as he tried to make a statement for himself in the WWE cruiserweight division. His springboard moonsault to the outside on Noam Dar was executed perfectly. Noam Dar did great in this match too as he’s trying to win for his girl, Alicia Fox. The way he was working on Gran Metalik’s arm throughout the whole match was great in-ring psychology there. Great performances by both men here.

The ending of the match came when Noam Dar hit the running enzuiguri on Gran Metalik for the pin and win. A good win for Noam Dar as he got a win for his girlfriend. Alicia Fooooooooxxxx!!!

Great match and I’m interested to see what’s next for Gran Metalik and Noam Dar.

We then get a recap of what happened last week when Akira Tozawa beat The Brian Kendrick and The Brian Kendrick attacked and destroyed Akira Tozawa afterwards and we then get an announcement that next week, it will be Akira Tozawa Vs. The Brian Kendrick in a Street Fight! Mark out moment! This is the second gimmick match for this era of the cruiserweight division so I’m looking forward to it as it may be the last match between these two to end this feud. It should be great.

The backstage interview with The Brian Kendrick by Dasha Fuentes was good. The Brian Kendrick talked about how a Street Fight fits into his plans because there are no countouts and disqualifications in a street fight as that means he can deliver much punishment to Akira Tozawa as he wants to. The Brian Kendrick didn’t want this to happen as he just wanted to be Akira Tozawa’s mentor, but he disrespected him and catered to the fans with his chants. The Brian Kendrick that next week will probably be Akira Tozawa’s last match in 205 Live as he’s going to end him.

It seems like next week will be the final match between Akira Tozawa and The Brian Kendrick to end this feud once and for all. It’s going to be brutal as it will be a street fight and I’m looking forward to it. Good backstage interview here.

We then get another vignette of Cedric Alexander as he’s returning to 205 Live next week. It’s awesome to see that Cedric Alexander is coming back to 205 Live next week and I’m looking forward to his return.

Mustafa Ali Vs. Tony Nese didn’t happen as when Mustafa Ali made his entrance, he was attacked by Drew Gulak from behind with a clothesline and followed it up with a big boot to Mustafa Ali’s face. Drew Gulak then threw Mustafa Ali to the barricade and kicked him in the gut. Drew Gulak then talked trash to Mustafa Ali before throwing him to the ring post.

Drew Gulak then continued to talk trash to Mustafa Ali as he threw him in the ring and told Tony Nese to hit Mustafa Ali with the knee. Tony Nese then hit Mustafa Ali with the running knee to the corner. Drew Gulak then told Mustafa Ali that he will soon learn his world of 205 Live as he hold up his No Fly Zone sign.

Man, that was a vicious attack from Drew Gulak on Mustafa Ali as he completely destroyed him with Tony Nese’s assitance. It will be interesting to see how Mustafa Ali will fight back against this, but I guess we’ll find out in the future.

Good segment as I’m interested to see what’s next in the Mustafa Ali and Drew Gulak feud.

The backstage segment between Rich Swann, Ariya Daivari, and Gentleman Jack Gallagher by Dasha Fuentes was good. Rich Swann was walking backstage until Dasha Fuentes came in and interviewed him about what happened last week about Noam Dar and Alicia Fox telling Rich Swann that he’ll get what he deserves. Rich Swann then said that he would stay away from Noam Dar and Alicia Fox as far as possible as if they think they could get him, they’re wrong.

As Rich Swann was about to continue, a mail carrier arrived and gave Rich Swann a present for him, but Rich Swann told him that the present wasn’t for him, but for Ariya Daivari. The mail carrier then went to Ariya Daivari as Ariya Daivari was looking at the mirror as the mail carrier gave the present to him. Ariya Daivari then told the mail carrier that the present is what he was waiting for which was sunglasses as he told the mail carrier to shoot. He then took a look at the present and said that this wasn’t the sunglasses that he ordered as he left the present near the mirror and walked away.

Gentleman Jack Gallagher then took the present and was about to open it until Ariya Daivari stopped him. Ariya Daivari told Gentleman Jack Gallagher that he should not touch his present as Gentleman Jack Gallagher asked him why. Ariya Daivari then told Gentleman Jack Gallagher to put the present down as he called him street trash as Gentleman Jack Gallagher let it slide as he didn’t want them to fight each other again as he left.

Ariya Daivari then looked around to see no one is watching as he opened the present as baby powder came out and it spread on his face and jacket as Ariya Daivari was yelling that his jacket was ruined.

It seems like we’re going to get a feud between Rich Swann and Ariya Daivari because of this which should be a good feud for both guys. Will be interesting to see how Ariya Daivari react when he figures out that Rich Swann did this to him. Good backstage segment here.

We then get a recap of what happened earlier in the show as Drew Gulak and Tony Nese took out Mustafa Ali as we get an announcement from Tom Phillips and Corey Graves that they have no update for Mustafa Ali at this time after the attack. Man, poor Mustafa Ali. He got destroyed by Drew Gulak and Tony Nese there. Can’t wait to see how Mustafa Ali will react to this once he recovers. Nice progression for the feud here.

Austin Aries Vs. TJP was an excellent match. Mark out moment! After the rivalry that has been growing between the two for the last month, they once again clashed to settle things in the ring and they delivered another excellent match against each other.

TJP did excellent in this match as he was trying to get a title shot by defeating Austin Aries. The way TJP was working on Austin Aries’ left leg throughout the entire match was excellent in-ring psychology right there. Excellent performance from TJP here.

Austin Aries did excellent in this match as well as he tried to get revenge on TJP for what he has done to him. His diving spinning elbow to the back of TJP was well executed. His suicide dive through the bottom rope onto TJP was done beautifully. Excellent performance from Austin Aries here.

The ending of the match came when Austin Aries locked in the Last Chancery on TJP to make TJP tap out for the win. A great win for TJP as he looks to get another shot at the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived”!

After the match, Neville attacked Austin Aries from behind as he attacked Austin Aries’ left leg by stomping on it and hitting towards the ring post. Neville then locked in the heel hook on Austin Aries to deliver more punishment on Austin Aries’ leg.

Gentleman Jack Gallagher then came to the ring and attacked Neville with William III followed by a headbutt as Neville rolled out of the ring as Austin Aries and Gentleman Jack Gallagher stared at Neville and TJP from the ring.

After seeing what happened here, I expect a four way match between Neville, Austin Aries, TJP, and Gentleman Jack Gallagher for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at Extreme Rules and if that happens, that would be an amazing match which I’ll be looking forward to it. Hope it happens.

Excellent match and good-post match as I’m interested to see what’s next in this Neville, Austin Aries, TJP, and Gentleman Jack Gallagher feud.

Overall, great show for the twenty fifth episode of 205 Live. It’s great to see the cruiserweights with more focus and attention here and it’s only going to get better from here. Looking forward to it.
