205 Live on July 25, 2017 was a good show. 205 Live is a show where the cruiserweights take center stage as they will risk their bodies to entertain us wrestling fans. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a backstage interview with Neville by Dasha Fuentes was good. Dasha Fuentes showed a recap of what happened on Monday Night Raw as Ariya Daivari took out Neville and Akira Tozawa to Neville as Neville responded by saying that he thinks that Ariya Daivari has made a huge mistake for messing with him on Monday Night Raw. He then said that 205 Live is his world and that Ariya Daivari will find out later what’s the difference between messing with Akira Tozawa and him.

Neville must be really pissed on what happened on Monday Night Raw when Ariya Daivari took him out and it will only be a matter of time when Ariya Daivari will realize that. A match between Neville and Ariya Daivari intrigues me so let’s see how that match turns out. Good backstage interview here.

Neville Vs. Ariya Daivari was a good match for what it was. Akira Tozawa was on commentary for this match and after Ariya Daivari made his entrance, he cut a promo by asking why Akira Tozawa was here on the commentary table and told him he should be the one getting a shot at the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and not him. Ariya Daivari then said that he will decidate his victory over Neville to 1968 Olympic Gold Medalist, Abdollah Movahed. He then said that his victory over Neville will be remembered for centuries to come.

Ariya Daivari is continuing his gimmick of praising and worshipping past wrestlers from Iran and he seemed confident that he could beat Neville. Let’s see if he can get the job done. Let’s talk about the match.

The match was pretty even between both men and the ending of the match came when Ariya Daivari pushed Neville to Akira Tozawa at the commentary table as Ariya Daivari got back in the ring before the ten count as Ariya Daivari won the match. Ariya Daivari got a victory over the WWE Cruiserweight Champion which should put him in line for the title in the near future. A good win for Ariya Daivari even if it was cheap.

After the match, Akira Tozawa took off his jacket and tie as he headed towards the ring to face Neville, but referees came in before they collide.

The feud between Neville and Akira Tozawa is growing and with Ariya Daivari added to the mix, it will be interesting to see where this feud goes from here.

Good match for what it was and good post-match as I’m interested to see on how this feud between Neville, Akira Tozawa, and Ariya Daivari will go.

We then get a recap of what happened last week when Mustafa Ali beat Drew Gulak in a 2 Out of 3 Falls match. This was good as it shows what happened last week and it was an excellent match. I can’t wait to see what happens next with both Mustafa Ali and Drew Gulak for the WWE Cruiserweight division.

The promo segment between The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher was good. The Brian Kendrick came out and talked about how he tried to talk to the WWE Universe about the difference between fighters like him and clowns like Gentleman Jack Gallagher. He then showed a picture of Gentleman Jack Gallagher on the titantron and made fun of his face, hair, suit, and nose by making him look like a clown on the titantron as he told the WWE Universe that this is who they’re cheering for.

As The Brian Kendrick was about to continue, Gentleman Jack Gallagher came out and told him that he was trying to go through this in gentleman fashion, but decided not to as he headed towards the ring and tried to attack The Brian Kendrick. The moment Gentleman Jack Gallagher got in the ring, The Brian Kendrick retreated and headed towards the crowd.

The feud between these two is heating up and I can’t wait to see Gentleman Jack Gallagher get his hands on The Brian Kendrick when he has the chance.

Good promo segment as I’m intrigued to see the next step in this feud between Gentleman Jack Gallagher and The Brian Kendrick.

The backstage segment with Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander, TJP, and Tony Nese by Dasha Fuentes was good. Dasha Fuentes asked Rich Swann on why he chose Cedric Alexander as his partner as Rich Swann told her that it’s because of Cedric Alexander’s performance two weeks ago when he defeated Noam Dar in an I Quit match. Cedric Alexander said that he came to 205 Live for competition so he decided to be Rich Swann’s partner because of that.

TJP and Tony Nese then came in as TJP told Rich Swann that he thought he would cancel the match after he chose Tony Nese as his partner as he called Cedric Alexander a consolation prize. Tony Nese then told TJP that Cedric Alexander is more of those participation trophies as Rich Swann told them that this is a friendly conversation as TJP questioned it. Cedric Alexander then told TJP that Tony Nese is the dumb one as Tony Nese got pissed off as TJP hold him back. Cedric Alexander then told them that they will handle this in the ring as TJP and Tony Nese left.

The tension between Rich Swann and TJP is growing as it’s a lot more than friendly competition now. Interested to see how this tag team will be played out. Good backstage interview here.

Rich Swann & Cedric Alexander Vs. TJP & Tony Nese was an excellent tag team match. Mark out moment! I just have to mention that the entrance that Tony Nese did with himself posing and showing his abs is nice as it shows that he has character so that’s great to see.

Rich Swann & Cedric Alexander did excellent in this match as they showed the chemistry they have as a tag team. The somersault dive and springboard corkscrew dive from Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann on Tony Nese and TJP were beautifully executed. The back handspring roundhouse kick on TJP by Cedric Alexander looked devastating. Excellent work from both men here.

TJP & Tony Nese did excellent in this match as well as they showed that they are the best in the cruiserweight division. The exchange that Rich Swann and Tony Nese had with the kicks was fun to watch and the running forearm smash and double underhook chickenwing dropped into a double knee gutbuster on Cedric Alexander by TJP looked devastating. Excellent work from both men here.

The ending of the match came when Cedric Alexander was about to hit a springboard clothesline on TJP, but Tony Nese made Cedric Alexander slipped as TJP rolled him up for the pin and win for his team. Great teamwork from Tony Nese and TJP there as they got the upper hand over Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander. Will be intrigued to see what Rich Swann has to say about TJP beating his team here, but we’ll see.

Excellent tag team match as I wonder how Rich Swann will deal with TJP the next time they meet.

Overall, good show for the thirty fifth episode of 205 Live. It’s great to see the cruiserweights with more focus and attention here and it’s only going to get better from here. Looking forward to it.
