205 Live on October 17, 2017, was a good show. 205 Live is a show where the cruiserweights take center stage as they will risk their bodies to entertain us wrestling fans. Let’s break it down:

We start off the show with a video package showing what happened on Monday Night Raw where Enzo Amore and his henchmen took down Kalisto and Mustafa Ali after Kalisto confronted Enzo Amore about his complaining for losing the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. This is good as it shows what happened on Monday Night Raw for those who have missed it or forgot about it. Well produced video package here.

The segment between Enzo Amore and Kalisto was good. Enzo Amore did his usual shtick before getting inside the ring and cut a promo by saying that he smells team spirit up in the air as he, Tony Nese, Noam Dar, Drew Gulak, and Ariya Daivari have made a statement as they’re making cash. He then talked about how he will make Kalisto suffer at TLC when he will beat him and once again become WWE Cruiserweight Champion. He then said after he makes Kalisto go to the hospital after he beat him at TLC, he’s going to watch him be the star that he is and the champion that he is. He then talked about how he’s original and that he has rebuilt the crusierweight division from the ground up. He then said that he has charisma while everyone in the WWE Universe does not because whether you love or hate him, he will be WWE Cruiserweight Champion again.

Enzo Amore then began to talk trash about Kalisto until Kalisto came in the ring and hit Enzo Amore with a springboard missile dropkick. He then was about to hit Enzo Amore with a Salida del Sol (Standing sitout shiranui), but he managed to retreat from the ring as Kalisto looked on.

Enzo Amore managed to get away from Kalisto from the assault, but he can’t run away when he faces him in a tag team match later on the show as well as TLC. Let’s see if Enzo Amore can get some momentum heading into TLC.

Good segment as the tag team match between Kalisto and Mustafa Ali Vs. Enzo Amore and Ariya Daivari should be fun to watch.

We then get a recap of the feud between Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, The Brian Kendrick, and Gentleman Jack Gallagher as Rich Swann will face Gentleman Jack Gallagher coming up next. This is good as it shows why this feud is happening and why they’re fighting against each other. Looking forward to the match which is coming up next.

Rich Swann Vs. Gentleman Jack Gallagher was a good match for what it was. As Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander were making their way to the ring, we saw a video promo from them as Cedric Alexander said that The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher will pay for what they have to him as Rich Swann said that the numbers are even now and that they will take down The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher together. Nice to see Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann getting some time to speak so that’s cool. Anyway, back to the match itself.

Gentleman Jack Gallagher hit a nice dropkick on Rich Swann and the teamwork between The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher was well shown here as the referee got distracted dealing with Cedric Alexander and Gentleman Jack Gallagher where The Brian Kendrick pulled Rich Swann out of the ring to give the advantage for Gentleman Jack Gallagher. Rich Swann hit a nice somersault leg drop on the back of Gentleman Jack Gallagher’s head as well as a nice double underhook sitout powerbomb on Gentleman Jack Gallagher. Good work from both men here.

The match didn’t get a proper ending as The Brian Kendrick and Cedric Alexander got involved in the match which led to a disqualification. A shame that the match went into a disqualification, but this will protect both men so I was fine for what happened here.

After the match, The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher threw Rich Swann to the barricade. They then started beating down Cedric Alexander before putting him back into the ring. As they were about to finish Cedric Alexander off, Rich Swann hit The Brian Kendrick with a cannonball senton while Cedric Alexander hit Gentleman Jack Gallagher with a back handspring roundhouse kick. Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann were about to finish Gentleman Jack Gallagher off, but The Brian Kendrick saved Gentleman Jack Gallagher by pulling him out of the ring as they retreat while Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann stared on.

It seems like Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann got the better of The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher here, but will they be victorious at TLC? We’ll find out soon enough.

Good match and good post-match as the tag team match at TLC should be fun to watch.

The promo segment from Drew Gulak was great. Drew Gulak first cut a promo by saying that he is the father of the WWE Universe as he cares about the well-beings of everyone where he doesn’t want people to do high risk manuevers and no annoying chants. He then said that no one has been listening to him so he showed what happened last week when he took out Akira Tozawa by attacking his throat.

He then talked about what he did last week was tough love because he cares about 205 Live and wants to make it better without the annoying chants from Akira Tozawa. He then said he did to Akira Tozawa was the right thing to do as he continued his PowerPoint Presentation.

He then showed slide #9 of his PowerPoint Presentation as there’s no defying authority as people followed the rules as the crowd chanted, “This is boring” as Drew Gulak told them it’s not boring as it’s a PowerPoint Presentation. He then said that he will continue his PowerPoint Presentation at WWE TLC Kickoff.

How dare the people say that the PowerPoint Presentation was boring! Those people should learn respect dang it! However, we’re going to get more of it this Sunday at WWE TLC Kickoff so it’s all fine and good.

Great promo segment from Drew Gulak as I can’t wait to see more of his PowerPoint Presentation at WWE TLC Kickoff.

Kalisto & Mustafa Ali Vs. Enzo Amore & Ariya Daivari was an excellent tag team match. Mark out moment! As Kalisto and Mustafa Ali were making his way to the ring, we get a video promo from Kalisto as he said that what he did to Enzo Amore earlier in the show felt good, but what he’s going to do to him in the tag team match and TLC, it’s going to be better. Cool to see Kalisto getting some mic time, but he really needs to work on it, at least he didn’t botch this time.

As Enzo Amore and Ariya Daivari were making their entrance to the ring, Ariya Daivari was speaking Persian as Enzo Amore grabbed the mic afterward and said that he and Ariya Daivari both speak the same language which is money and there’s only one word to describe Kalisto and Mustafa Ali and that is S-A-W-F-T, SAWFT! Nice interesting entrance for those two there. Anyway, back to the match itself.

Enzo Amore and Ariya Daivari did excellent in this match as they tried to put down Kalisto and Mustafa Ali. The way Arya Daivari threw Kalisto over the top rope looked devastating and the way Enzo Amore lifted Kalisto up and dropped him down on the barricade looked painful as heck. The way they work over Kalisto throughout the match got them some good heel heat. Excellent work from both men here.

Kalisto and Mustafa Ali did excellent in this match as well as they tried to avenge themselves for what they did to them on Monday Night Raw. The corkscrew plancha from Mustafa Ali on Ariya Daivari was beautifully executed and the diving crossbody from Kalisto on Enzo Amore was also beautifully executed. Excellent work from both men here.

The ending of the match came when Kalisto hit Enzo Amore with Salida del Sol for the pin and win for this team. A good win for Kalisto as he’s looking to defend his WWE Cruiserweight Championship at TLC against Enzo Amore.

After the match, Kalisto hit a suicide dive on Enzo Amore and Ariya Daivari as he started to beat down on Enzo Amore. Ariya Daivari then started attacking Kalisto, but Mustafa Ali started to fight against Ariya Daivari as Kalisto continued to attack Enzo Amore. Referees then pulled Kalisto away from Enzo Amore as Enzo Amore retreated as Kalisto went back into the ring and does his chant while holding the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

Kalisto is getting some huge momentum heading into TLC, but will Kalisto be able to retain against Enzo Amore at TLC? We’ll have to find out at TLC. Lucha! Lucha! Lucha! Lucha!

Excellent tag team match and we’ll see if Kalisto can retain his WWE Cruiserweight Championship at TLC against Enzo Amore.

Overall, good show for the forty-seventh episode of 205 Live. It’s great to see the cruiserweights with more focus and attention here and it’s only going to get better from here. Looking forward to it.
