NXT Showcase: Kendall Skye

Topic/Subject: Today, I will be showing a promo presentation that involves a woman who is trying to achieve a dream.

Wrestler: “The Dreamer” Kendall Skye.

Background Information: Kendall Skye is from Denver, Colorado. She is trained by Joey Kaos. Before she started professional wrestling, she was a kickboxer and she did Muay Thai.

Here is a video of Kendall Skye training on becoming a professional wrestler on her first day.

Here is a video of Kendall Skye on her third day of professional wrestling training.

Here is a video of Kendall Skye on her sixth day of professional wrestling training.

During February 2013, she signed with WWE and began training in NXT. Soon after, she debuted as Kendall Skye and began working as the NXT ring announcer.

She worked her first match during a NXT house show on May 24, 2013, teaming with Paige and Sasha Banks in a losing six-women tag match against Bayley, Charlotte and Emma.

On July 18, 2013, on a NXT house show, she joined Paige and Sasha Banks again in a six-woman tag match to defeat Bayley, Charlotte and Emma.

On August 1, 2013, she teamed with Charlotte and Emma to defeat Bayley, Paige and Sasha Banks. On September 20, 2013, at a NXT house show, she teamed with Bayley and Paige to defeat Alexa Bliss, Emma and Sasha Banks.

She would team with Charlotte and Sasha Banks in a losing tag match against Bayley, Emma and Paige on October 3, 2013, at a NXT house show.

Eight days later on October 11, 2013, at a NXT house show, she won her first singles match against Sasha Banks. On March 29, 2014, at a NXT house show, she joined Charlotte and Sasha Banks, losing to Alexa Bliss, Bayley and Paige in another six-women tag match. Shee won her second singles match on May 16, 2014, defeating JoJo.

On September 19, 2014, she parted ways with WWE and retired from professional wrestling.

Before entering professional wrestling, she worked in Hollywood as a stunt-woman. She is also versed in martial arts including Muay Thai and kickboxing. She graduated Arvada West High School in 1999 and also attended New York University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree.

My Thoughts: Kendall Skye was a woman that has lot of passion and heart on what’s she doing. Despite not knowing a lot about her, she does have heart and passion to do what it takes to achieve her dream. Dream!

Video: This video contains a promo presentation of Kendall Skye on September 11, 2013.

My Thoughts: This was a good promo that was very emotional. Even though she was still a rookie at the time, she worked very hard in order to prove herself.

She talked about in this promo, the indicent that happened at September 11, 2001. Surprisingly, she said she was proud of being there during that time and not because of the indicent itself, but a way for her to help people during that the day. Ever since then, she has grown up and she became the person she is today in order to make an impact.

I like how she put emotional into her speaking so we can get a sense on how much that indicent meant to her and how much it changed her. That type of emotion can show a lot of character in that person and she showed that right there with this promo. So she did well in this promo even though it may be difficult for her to do in the first place.

It’s a shame that she retired from wrestling as she has other interests in her life. However, I admire the passion and the heart that she has in order to make it this far in her place so for that, I respect her. As of right now, she’s currently on an adventure so have fun Kendall Skye! Dream!

After watching the video, give me your thoughts on the video or the wrestler herself. Thank you.
