Big Changes To NXT & New Women, Hall Of Famers Backstage

– According to the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter, people within NXT were told that “NXT is being raided for the draft big time” and a lot more will be known shortly.

During Tuesday’s conference call, Triple H didn’t get into specifics on the future of the brand but he seemed to indicate that things would change significantly because of the brand split and that the main rosters would need new talent and that there are 70 to 80 people in Florida that are training so this will be their chance to step up. Triple H said that this was not the end of NXT but the beginning and the title of the show had multiple meanings. He noted that this was the end of the Finn Balor vs.Samoa Joe rivalry and tonight marked the start of NXT – the brand.

At NXT Takeover: The End they seemed to hint at Bayley challenging Asuka for the NXT Championship. It was reported a few weeks ago that Bayley was in line for another push, possibly being the first two time NXT Women’s Champion. There is advertising featuring Finn Balor for the event as well but now that his feud with Samoa Joe appears to be over, him moving up during the brand split in July or shortly thereafter is a really big possibility.

During the post-NXT TakeOver Facebook live interview, Triple H also noted that there would be a new female name in NXT soon. You can read the recap from his interview by clicking here.
