Wade Barrett Says The Name Is Dead & Buried, Daniel Bryan

– Wade Barrett is now going by his real name, Stu Bennett, as he moves forward with his life post-WWE.

Bennett wrapped up his WWE career in June after spending 9 years with the company. While he has removed wrestling references from his bio and his main focus seems to be on soccer, he has not closed the door to wrestling at some point in the future, if/when the time is right.

Several months before he announced that he was leaving WWE, he was interested in becoming a soccer analyst in the United Kingdom. Bennett grew up as a Preston North End fan and his vast knowledge of the game will come in handy if he gets an analyst gig.

– Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan was backstage at the WWE NXT Takeover: The End… event on Wednesday in Winter Park, Florida, according to Pwinsider. Bryan was visiting friends and caught up with EVOLVE’s Gabe Sapolsky, who was also at the event. Bryan watched the majority of the show from backstage with WWE agents and caught the eye of some fans in attendance.

Bryan retired earlier this year due suffering multiple concussions. He was advertised to appear at WrestleMania Axxess and the WWE UK tour in mid-April. However, Bryan was pulled from those events. Since then, Bryan has been training jiu-jitsu and traveling with his wife Brie Bella. Bryan also competed in his first Olympic lifting competition recently, which you can see here:
