– Former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio possibly suffered an injury at Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view event. Del Rio was competing in the MITB ladder match when he rolled out of the ring, and the referee checked on him. The referee then proceeded to throw up the dreaded X to alert WWE officials of a possible injury. It looks like the injury occurred during the final moments of the match when he fell badly onto the ropes.

Del Rio went to the hospital following the event to get his knee examined, according to PWinsider.com. Del Rio did travel to Monday’s RAW TV taping in Phoenix, Arizona. WWE has yet to publicly acknowledged his injury.

– Former WWE & WCW star Marc Mero underwent heart surgery last week in Cleveland, Ohio to have his aorta replaced and to have a new heart valve installed.

Mero has dealt with several health issues during the last decade. He has a deteriorating spine and has had eight major surgeries for different wrestling-related injuries. In interviews, he has been open about his use of steroids during his wrestling career.

In recent years, through his Champion of Choices non-profit, Mero has been teaching kids about the dangers of bullying, the dangers of drugs and helping them empower them to own their own lives.

We wish him a speedy recovery.
