Brock Lesnar is scheduled to return on the 7/19 Smackdown show, according to the Wrestling Observer newsletter. That would be on the day of the draft. That is a change from their original plans because he was originally scheduled to return a few weeks later.

Meanwhile, Hunt told ESPN that he plans to knock Lesnar’s face off. Chael Sonnen did an interview this week and said that Lesnar would get wrecked by Hunt and that Lesnar is not a very good wrestler. Sonnen said, “I’ll put this in perspective for you. In the NCAA when he won his national title, he was 265 pounds, which was the limit. In the finals, he had a guy that was 220 pounds and he had to go into double overtime with him. There’s not very many wrestlers alive, if any, that if they had a 45-pound weight advantage couldn’t put that guy away in about 30 seconds.”

It will be interesting to see how WWE books Lesnar if he loses the fight to Mark Hunt. If he loses via decision then it’s not so bad for him but the betting line from fans and other fighters seems to be that Lesnar is likely to get knocked out.
