Several Names Not At NXT TV Tapings, Call Ups For Draft?

WWE NXT live event results

Finn Balor and Nia Jax did not appear at the recent NXT tapings. They are also not scheduled for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.

Balor’s name has been rumored for the main roster for many months and there were plans to bring him up shortly after WrestleMania but plans changed. It wasn’t outright said by the announcers but the match with Nakamura was played up like it was Finn’s farewell for NXT, much like Sami Zayn. Management is high on Nia Jax and they see potential in her. She has a great attitude and considering that she’s only been wrestling for about a year, she’s pretty good for her level of experience.

Austin Aries was also not featured but it looks like they are building towards an eventual match with No Way Jose for TakeOver so it looks like he is staying. The tapings from Wednesday covers them up to SummerSlam weekend and they won’t be taping at Full Sail again until 8/25. The 8/24 show will likely be taped in Brooklyn prior to the live Takeover show.

Tye Dillinger was also not featured on the recent tapings. Dillinger being moved up would surprise most because it seemed like they were starting to push him in NXT. However, Dillinger has been very talkative when it came to the WWE Draft.

I’m told that there will be at least a couple of surprises for the draft on Tuesday night.
