ESPN To Cover WWE Draft, WWE Sends Cease & Desist, Fans Not Allowed To Record

– Jonathan Coachman, who hosts the weekly “Off The Top Rope” segment, confirmed on Twitter that ESPN.com would be covering Tuesday’s WWE Draft.

– Several independent promoters were sent cease and desist letters from WWE this week. The letters were in regards to promotions using WWE photographs on posters and online media to promote their shows or conventions.

WWE wants to crack down on promotions using photos taken by their own photographers. Wrestlers will now have to provide promoters with their own photos that they have the rights to or rely on non-WWE photographers.

The company is also cracking down on the use of cameras at their shows. Fans at the live event in Indianapolis were told that they were fine to take photos but videos were not allowed. WWE has been getting aggressive by getting live event footage taken down from social media sites.
