New WWE Universal Champion crowned; MAJOR name makes return during match

During tonight’s big Fatal-4-Way elimination match for the WWE Universal Championship involving Roman Reigns, Big Cass, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens, a new champion was officially crowned thanks to one of WWE’s biggest names in history. Former WWE Champion Triple H made a shocking return to effect the end of the match.

First, Triple H removed Roman Reigns from the equation with a Pedigree, allowing Seth Rollins to eliminate him. Following that, Triple H proceeded to Pedigree Seth Rollins, laying the groundwork for Kevin Owens to claim victory in the main event.

This makes Kevin Owens the 2nd Universal Champion in WWE History. This also adds to Kevin Owens’ growing resume in WWE, with Owens having Intercontinental and NXT Championship reigns before becoming WWE Universal Champion.
