As noted, Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor to become the new NXT Champion at the non-televised NXT live event in Lowell, Mass. on Thursday evening.

According to multiple live reports, Balor appeared to suffer some sort of injury during the final moments of the match with Joe.

After the match, as Joe celebrated, doctors appeared to be checking on Balor’s ankle. As of this writing, it is unclear whether or not Balor suffered a legitimate injury. We hope to have an update on Balor’s condition later.

In addition to the brief comments Balor tweeted after the event, which you can view below, he also provided an interesting tease to a number of fans who were outside of the building after the show.

As seen in the video, Balor teased an appearance on Monday’s RAW, telling the fans in the parking lot after the NXT live event on Thursday night, “See you all on Monday!”
