WWE Looking Into Ric Flair Airport Incident

Published

on

As noted on Wednesday morning, there was an incident involving Ric Flair at Logan airport in Boston. Reports from people that were there say that he was at Lucky’s Lounge before boarding his flight. TMZ reported that witnesses told them that Flair was acting like a drunk person.

Airport police contradicted the witnesses account and said that Flair was not drunk and he was just being treated for a cut on his hand. Flair did fly home on a later flight. He was in town for Tuesday’s Smackdown tapings.

The Massachusetts State police said that Flair hit his head on a stanchion at the airport and he was treated by for a minor head injury and there was no incident. It’s not clear why one police report was different from the other. Another witness said that Flair was bleeding from his forehead. The witness told TMZ, “It was dripping down from his head to his neck. A significant amount of blood.” Flair’s agent Melinda Morris Zanoni issued a statement saying that Flair’s injuries to his hand were being looked at.

The Wrestling Observer newsletter reports that there were people at the airport that said that there was a shouting incident over someone that was rude to Flair and then asked for a selfie with him. The Observer reports that WWE officials are looking into the situation.
