Christian Released From WWE Active Performer’s Contract

Published

on

WWE has released Jay Reso aka Christian from his active performer contract, according to the Wrestling Observer newsletter. This was a technicality since he was no longer expected to wrestle again. Christian never officially retired from the ring but this pretty much closes the door on his WWE in-ring career. The belief was that Vince McMahon would not ok him to wrestle again because of his history of concussions. This release would not affect his gig as co-host of the “Edge and Christian Show That Totally Reeks of Awesomeness.”

Regarding rumors of Lilian Garcia being released, the only thing we know about her status is that she told fans that she was off Raw this past Monday because of a family emergency and she expected to be back this coming Monday. I reached out to a source for confirmation on Garcia’s status so hopefully, we will get that confirmation soon.
