From March 9 to March 21, NJPW presents New Japan Cup 2018 where sixteen heavyweights battle it out in a single-elimination tournament where the winner will get a title shot for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, the IWGP US Heavyweight Championship, or the NEVER Openweight Championship at Sakura Genesis.


Here are the results of NJPW New Japan Cup on March 9, 2018.


CHAOS (Hirooki Goto, Toru Yano & Chuckie T) defeated Tomoyuki Oka, Shota Umino & Tetsuhiro Yagi

Killer Elite Squad (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr.) defeated Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale & Tanga Roa)

Suzuki-gun (Zack Sabre Jr., Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desperado) defeated Los Ingobernables de Japón (Tetsuya Naito, SANADA & BUSHI)

Suzuki-gun (Minoru Suzuki, Takashi Iizuka & Taichi) defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi, David Finlay & Toa Henare

CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada & YOSHI-HASHI) defeated Kota Ibushi & Chase Owens

Juice Robinson defeated Yujiro Takahashi in a first-round match in the 2018 New Japan Cup

Michael Elgin defeated Tomohiro Ishii in a first-round match in the 2018 New Japan Cup
