From March 9 to March 21, NJPW presents New Japan Cup 2018 where sixteen heavyweights battle it out in a single-elimination tournament where the winner will get a title shot for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, the IWGP US Heavyweight Championship, or the NEVER Openweight Championship at Sakura Genesis.


Here are the results of NJPW New Japan Cup on March 11, 2018.


Yuji Nagata & Tomoyuki Oka defeated Tetsuhiro Yagi & Ren Narita

El Desperado defeated Shota Umino

Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Yujiro Takahashi, Tanga Roa & Chase Owens) defeated Michael Elgin, Juice Robinson, David Finlay & Toa Henare

CHAOS (Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano) defeated Suzuki-gun (Killer Elite Squad (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr.) & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)

Suzuki-gun (Takashi Iizuka & Taichi) defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi & Ryusuke Taguchi

CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada & Chuckie T) defeated Los Ingobernables de Japón (SANADA & BUSHI)

Kota Ibushi defeated YOSHI-HASHI in a first-round match of the 2018 New Japan Cup

Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Tetsuya Naito in a first-round match of the 2018 New Japan Cup
